1st - Teach them how to quiet their brain so they can listen easier. Do some  mental exercises that will help build that “muscle”to be able to detach from the loud chatter in their brain at times.

2nd - Be extremely rationale, don’t be so quick to pull someone out of their comfort zone when it comes to constructive criticisms about their problems. Talk about their lives step by step and always be understanding to the diversity of problems.

3rd - Surround that person with the associated things they choose to want to chase that will make them happy. Go out of your way to help surround them with these things. Constant exposure to the same things everyday will only help fuel old habits that they're used to doing.

4th -Condition them within these habits to live by everyday, and this is what you'll tell them.

"It will take handwork, perseverance and a lot of will power to get yourself to make this metamorphosis. But just remember one thing, when you make it out of this loop of distress you find yourself in, you’ll be what you’ve always wanted to be. So push yourself and never give up. Fight for you. No matter how hard it gets for you to change your habits, just remember you’re fighting for who you want to be. You have something to fight for. You’re doing what you’re doing for the sacrifice of molding yourself into the person you dream about. Be that person everyday and fight through the fire and the flames of strife. Never back down and fight from ever faltering into depression. Be the change you wish to see in this world, and you sha'll see it."
Caution: Easier said than done. This process is not as black and white as I make it seem. The initiator can only help provide the tools to the person who wants to change, you can't make someone change. If you see promise within them, and that they really want to change though, never give up on them. Fight through the bickering and battles to show them how much you really care about their well-being. One must be very patient within this process though, so always be mindful.

Perfection* is
accepting,
all that
imperfection*
truly is.

And
so maybe
we're not
perfect...
But then,
who really is?

Because I loathe
moments of silence,
our tempers,
the rage that lies within.

But just as
we are dying,
all the time
These bad
moments
too
will meet
their **end.
it wouldn't feel quite right. Would it?

If you stop stalking me,
Then I can think clearly
Maybe I'll have peace of mind.

If you stop stalking me,
Then I won't be talking to myself
Maybe people won't call me crazy again.

If you stop stalking me,
Then I can go to sleep
Maybe I won't wake with you staring

If you stop stalking me,
Then my doctor will know I'm sane
Maybe I won't need my pills.

Once I was filled with life,
Now all I cause is strife
If I could be the same,
Then I'll stop stalking you.
Maybe I won't be so lame.

If I could sleep at night,
Then I'll stop stalking you.
Maybe I won't fear the light

If dogs don't bark when I'm near,
Then I'll stop stalking you.
Maybe you won't shriek like a deer

But I can't stop stalking you
For I shall be stuck alone
I can't stop stalking you
Because I have no hope on my own

I can't stop stalking you
For no one will see me ever again
When my time is due,
Then I'll ease your pain

I wouldn't stalk you
If I'd died with ease
And my flesh put to rest
For my soul would be in peace
And free from this torment

And when you die
Maybe you'll  find peace
Then you won't feel my pain
But until then, just like everyone else's
I'll always be there
Lurking  in the night
Staring at night
Your stalker and your bane

Not in the object revered
But in the imperfect beholder
Glows the light of inspiration.

Through eyelids facing west
The auburn canvas spreads.
Smell of damp pine needles
Carried by the dry retreating winds.

Not in the balance, do I marvel,
But in the transience of the moment
That threatens to justly divide
The hours between light and dark.

For strife is the eternal essence of life,
Strength of my sinew,
As I relentlessly roll the boulder
And watch gravity undo my labour.

But, there is no strife more revolting
Than THIS.
Cleaving ‘I’ from the rest
And assuming superiority -
An imperfect beholder.
Note 1 - This just division of light and dark (Equinox) is only a passing phase, an ephemeral balance. Had it been permanent life would have been too monotonous an experience. This futile battle of light and dark inspires me to look inside and contemplate my existence.

Note 2 – I extend Heraclitus's "Strife is justice" to "Strife is life". Physical life is a strife against the natural elements. But the act of conscious existence is the greatest and the most revolting strife of them all. Because this involves separating myself (I, that thinks)from the rest (matter in all its forms) and assuming the superior role of an intelligent observer.

Running in circles round-and-round
Impatiently waiting until the day you're found
Why do we do this to ourselves?
Pretending we're unboxed toys lining store shelves
Waiting for the one that will open us up to add value to their life
Until that day comes, we create and dwell on constant strife
We need to let ourselves out of the box
We must stop waiting to be invited to the others' flocks
Arise from your prison, you won't regret this decision
Already in Hell, how scary could it be outside of your cell?
Seize the day, no soul can enjoy life in a truly lonesome way

Let my heart burn
a brilliant light.
Let the world see
the fire's golden might.

Let my heart escape
the shallow empty cries.
Let the world watch
my heart soar the skies.

Let my heart feel
the gentle rain of life.
Let the world witness
the end of all strife.

Let my heart burn
a brilliant light.
Let the world see
my heart glowing bright.
I wrote this when I was upset. I'm surprised it turned out this way. Though...there is something missing...isn't there?

I should be dead by now.

I ought to fall from these branches.

I was destined to perish.

But Autumn is yet to come,

As is the best.

pleasure was on your mind,
you knew what you were doing.
no respect for anyone,
my lover you were *******.

how did it feel?
was it worth my pain?
do you regret it now?
are you going insane?

i hope you really comprehend,
what it is you did.
you lied to to my face you know,
and when we spoke it is you who hid.

goodbye phony,
have a mediocre life.
**** with people's lovers,
never forget our strife.
