What antiquated tongue as such
Hissed Eden's serpent to get in touch?
Angelic would probably not be true
Possibly Arabic or perhaps Hebrew
But almost certainly it wasn't Dutch

What dikes would Noah's land comprise
If these polder pros had been about
And the deluge struck fields fitted out
With some deft water controlling device?
Would we have preserved our paradise?

I don't ask for sympathy.

I won't ask for love.

I'll wait until my judgement day to make peace with God above.

I don't take what isn't mine.

I won't kneel down to pray.

I've worked too hard for too **** long for far too ****** pay.

I don't know where this is going.

But I know, now, how it'll end.

I'll live, I'll work, I'll die and then-

I'll do it all again.

I sit alone in front of the campfire,
My eyes glancing at the dancing flame
Imagining life without my only desire
And for my loss I'm the one to blame

In my slumber, I traveled back in time
Locked in a nightmare, I longed to escape
My mind haunted by the sound of the chime
And a cold chill grasps on to my nape

A Dream or Reality? I asked in despair,
Hoping that this is all in my head, all this fear
I just want this gone, I didn't even care
Just remove this curse in me that only I can hear

Moments of torture and hatred suddenly disappeared
In the back of my head I thought, a moment of peace
Yet the night grew darker, and my hope was shattered
A ghostly maiden from my past, weakened me with ease

Salvation was out of sight,
I choose to stay and fight,
Yet the shadows held me tight,
But no longer will I give in to fright

With all my strength I struggled to get free
And ran away from my haunting past
Insanely, I ran as my life flashed before me
And I was wondering, redemption at last?

I jumped towards the sky, pleading for it to take me
I felt invincible, untouchable, full of power and strength
And with one final battle cry, I plunged into the sea
At last, freedom came to me with one last breath

My life is an ocean, full of sadness and pain
Yet within its depths I found eternal peace
Within the underworld my soul sleeps and satisfaction I gained
As fast as the waves of the ocean, all my agony released
6 year old poem. An old piece. One of my first writes.

My Beloved Dove
and Dearest Darling
Oh where have you gone
Together We always
in the light of the dawn

We whispered Our promise
and sang of Our love
My Dearest Darling
wherever you are

Our soul together
true and complete
God is Our witness
Our salvation
sure and indeed

Wife of my youth
Strength of Our truth
My hope and my faith
was immeasurable in you

My Dearest Darling
where might you be
My search is now over
for my dearest love true

Lost to the World
Forever lost unto me.

When he keeps reciting in the head
Dripping drops to the same spot
All the while yearning to move instead
But there stuck in a struggle without respite
He yearns for a glory unfading.

Doing and not doing never were the sufficiency of law
Dusk drew a dull drapery over the light
Beauty turned dreary and his heart sunk low
Twas a high price at which he was bought
A man hang on a hill that day

Love slew the sly intentions of fear
Smiting to tender pulp
Jesus is Lord ye hear
In whom he found hope
I'm saved because He loved me.
Doing right does not earn us merit before God.
It cannot begin to atone for our wretchedness.

I see you struggling
at the Gate
with the roar of lions
behind you
You can barely hear
the Lord calling your name

I see the beasts
tearing at your flesh
as you stumble and fall
Down on your knees
I hear you beg and plead
Where is the strength
to be free!

I see a hint of knowing
in your eyes
a trace of believing
in your heart
I see you have the will
to stand and walk

In a new life
I see your reward
shining bright like a star
running through your soul
I see you believe
believe!
believe!
