salt on the streets
like salt in the wounds
of cracked, suburban sidewalks
swelling with trampled memories
of a forgotten yesterday

imagine a world far away
from the chaos of the everyday

won’t you come outside & play?
(everything is gonna be okay)

the world is a snow globe,
          shake it up
          & let's watch it explode

cut me up like a paper snowflake,
did you feel the Earth shake?

Maybe I don't mind turning into a pillar of salt.
Maybe looking back for a brief second,
is the only way you can move forward.

We mostly float other people's boats
Rather than just snatching a leaf from their book
Brainwashed to think our ideas are chasing rainbows
When they are actually worth the salt

What does it take
for a man
to sit in the ocean
and not pour salt
over his wounds?

-his life.

"And her hair
were like the ocean
that fell onto me
like strong wind tides
and turned me into salt."

i am in love
with the in between moment
from when the boat
begans to sail
back to its home

i am in love
with the scene of the water
of how the sky is painted
in every color
and the water
shines in a silver light

i am in love
with the feeling of being one
with the wind
the feeling of the air waves
messing with my hair

i am in love
with the salt on my lips
and burns in my skin
with the taste of your kiss
and the smell of your suit

i am in love
with that in between moment
because when while the yacht
is cruising through the twilight
my problems are left behind
i am no longer
dizzy by the anger
no longer
dazed by my sadness
i am simply amazed
and in love
with the memory of you
and of that of the sea
and the dying sun
spent all day on a yacht, you can guess the rest..

Here I sit,
watching the reflection of my past grandeur mock me from within it's folded paper pages.
The ink letters dance a mirage of bittersweet enjoyment in the face of my frustration.
The drawings of flowers twist and curl over the lines in the book,
clutching onto every word,
every syllable of woe written amongst the leaves.
Faces fall from petal soft whispers,
and within their atramentous eyes
I find myself lost.

how many cuts should your words make
for me to realize which one is the deepest?
how many times do we have to curse
and fool ourselves that you do it
just because you were angry
how many mistakes do we have to make
to finally decide that it's over?

we are here for another chance for true happiness
it makes you love what you loathe and loathe what you love
it would make you forget and would make you remember
but did anyone warn you about drowning?

i loved salt water that healed my cuts when i drowned
and i didn't count how many times you cursed
nor counted the mistakes you made
accepted the ones that you have yet to make
and never will i decide for it to be over

they would only focus on the good angles
on the lighter side, the most colorful ones
and when people see the tragedies on its corner
they stop, they take one step back
pull themselves away and would carve
that it was never beautiful at all

when everything turns a shade darker
darker than the latter
when the walls start to crack
and everything else crumbles to ground
i will always find a way to fix it
and look at it like it was never broken
- i love you, i love you and i love you

The sun shone bright
against the clear blue sky
The waves pushed to and fro
making paste from the sand

Seagulls cried to the others ashore
as their shadows shaded my eyes
A cool ocean breeze passed through
oh it feels so grand

I lift my eyes up to the sky as
skin stretches into a smile
I wish to shout but I like it
how I could be here forever

All I can hear is someting that
stands from a mile
A being, no, somebody, no, either way
something kept calling never

It only lingers in my head but
soon I was walking to the body
The water was cold and warm
as it gently licked at my feet

The water was like a friend
inviting me in like I was cloddy
Yet as my toes dug slowly in the sand
my feet walking deeper beneathe

This is very much a situation
I find the ocean to be very funny
And so I laugh
I laugh until my sides hurt

The water is now up to my neck
my body slowly turning gummy
I just stand there
salt clings onto my shirt

The ocean gently rocks me
as it takes me away from the pain
And which I call to life
I will be alright
