A black raven ruffles on a stone by a hollow. It beckons you come where none want to follow.

Your pain and your sorrow his promise to bury. The cost is your soul to hell it will ferry.

Look away from the shadows and the depths of the sea. For none of those things want to see you set free.

So the next time the black raven's squawk doth beckon. Alas, it's call is the harbinger of depression.

In my heart, and my mind
I'm flush against your back
with my arm around your waist
hand pulled up against your chest

Face nuzzled in the crook
of your graceful neck and shoulder
the scent of your hair and skin
with every single breath

Paradise. Nirvana.
Shangri-La. Elysium.
Heaven. Idyll, Eden.

Home.
Unintentional poetry from a text

I don’t need you to like my poems.

I need words to cut open your skin,
verse to rip through your caged heart
and, when all metaphors will disappear, ravens will wine and dine on your spine.

Grab a hold of what is precious.
Clench it tight or else you will lose it.
With all your strength and heart,
Do not lose to Restart.
Quick! It’s slipping away!
Oh dear, you have gone astray.
What happened to your shine?
Was it released
To the hands of Time
Soon to be deceased?

But! You have a chance
To fly high
And search wide.
No matter the stumbles
Never give in
Hurry now empty vessel
Awaken!
Get your precious back.
Fill your purpose with
Your true version you currently lack.
Always return to retrieve what’s yours

To wish upon a raven
One must first grow its wings

To wish upon a raven
Waste not time on petty things

To wish upon a raven
One must know how it feels

To soar above the heavens
To feel freedom and know fear

To wish upon a raven
Knowing suffering is key

To wish upon a raven
Knowing tragedy of banshees

How they wail, how they groan
The very song, the very tone

Setting loose the sorrow
Sending warnings to the free

To wish upon a raven
You have to understand

That sometimes you’re the omen
Of bad luck and stories planned

To wish upon a raven
Ignorance you overcome

And if you wish upon a raven
The raven you become
Relating to a story of mine

The beautiful sky smiles, why don’t you.
The merciless sky cries, why don’t you.
The sky is open. Open yourself up to me. Be like the sky you raven.

Once upon a midnight,windy,
Graveyard heavy, tombstone weary,
Rose a man of great renowned-
The writer of which works can be found
Classroom sat in many a volume galore.
As the news and folk declare-
The dead whose lungs again took in air,
The writer who now stood before-
T’was Poe (and raven) of “Nevermore”.

“So if it be daemon, omen, curse or hex-”
In deciding action next, he spoke forth these words of old,
“I have been given further morrow, time of which furthers my sorrow,
Yet if I may this new life borrow- borrow perhaps to bring prose more-
In the hope,to continue prose more-
Pen to paper I’ll restore.”

Many a night spent struggling to create rhymes anew,
Edgar realized how language had changed,
For **** no longer meant to slay, and his beloved had turned to bae!
On his desk the perched bird had flown-
To say these words in had it flown-
Quoth the Raven “Just use Rhymezone.”
