if your deep bellows find you
the thorns of treason reach you
and the definite uncertainty leads you
will you search for me?

in times of unending loneliness,
infinite breathlessness,
and permanent darkness,
will you think of me?

i have been long waiting
but you're abrasive, misleading
will you only need me
if all options aren't working?

i will be less obtrusive
maybe a little more observant
you need a little more time to be lost
to find the things you need in life

but for the meantime,
i'll be the snake
silently preying over you.

Why is your agony dispread
Why did you not listen and ended up mislead

I beckoned you to come near
I beckoned you so I could make it clear
I beckoned you but you only looked at me with that sneer

So I let you do it your own way
So I let you become the prey
So I let you crumble in just mere days

Now i'll just set and watch
Now I'll just set while all of it you botch
Now I'll just set as you make another notch

If only you had not just listened but heard
If only you hadn't let things get so blurred
If only you hadn't acted so absurd

I sat and I watched you expire
I sat and I watched as your situation got dire
I sat and I watched as you set yourself on fire

It comes without warning.
It comes hard and fast.
Before you know it
Its wrapping you in its hands,
Trying to drown you,
Steal you,
Mercilessly carry you away from the world.
It comes and repeats
Over and over and over
How worthless you are,
How ugly or pathetic.
It makes you feel less than what you are
And it smiles at you
From inside your head.
Depression is a monster.
It lives and breathes
Deep down within.
Waiting for the right moment
To snare you,
Latch on,
Take you away from the light.
Fighting it is hard.
So hard.
And that's just what it wants.
To have you flounder
And wonder
If you'll ever see the light again,
If you'll ever have happy thoughts again,
If you'll ever escape the nightmare again,
And just when you've lost hope
Is when its fangs can sink in.
It's a monster.
And you are its prey.

Everlasting momentum continues,

Spiraling out of control.

No thought for results, it projects.

Tender loving figure, teaching

Young to live.

Heightened senses momentarily detect,

The Impending danger.

Manufactured oculus,

The last to witness.

Breaks.

Our hearts ever so pure
Tainted by the lust
We keep dormant
Explode once
Our cold fingers
Connect
And the warmth
Spreads around
Our body like
the blood that already
Circulates
And we become
Beasts, who hunger
and treat each other
Like Prey.

Everybody's got a story to tell
Everybody's got something to hide
Everybody's got something to say
Everybody finds someone to divide.

And the beast is finally far away from me
But it's not so far if it's stuck in my mind.
He's got half his head underneath his baby's bed
Full of stuff,
He'll soon grow up to find.

And there's something hunting on the streets again
It's following the coloured prints on a dress.
Another flashback yet again begins
Swimming in my head and through the red
In my veins.

Everybody's got something to share

Everybody's got their forms of prey.
