Truly Lustful Jul 2018
Pitter Patter
Along the ground
Sometimes silent
Sometimes deafening

They never stop
But when they do
Their life has been taken
Or they've stepped on you

Not too small
Not too big
Who do they belong to?
Do you know yet?

Ever heard an elephant stomp?
A mouse scratching along the floor?
These sounds radically different
Yet something we can't ignore

The question isn't the sound
But rather the footprint
As we all sport a unique one
But which one truly is the biggest?

Some would think, elephant
Probably not you though
Maybe even a dinosaur?
Don't let your mind overflow

It's as simple as you think
Most have already figured it out
Now go outside, take a heavy step
Make an imprint.

Is it all coming together?
It should have already
Us as humans
We're the most deadly

No matter how big it is
To the eye it's small
But we reign supreme here
On this earth, our home

Next time you see a print
Be it Dog, Cat, Lion, or Deer
The calendar lies
It's always our year.

Gone are the days, when by night, we would sleep on the trees
And by day, roam around, finding for eatables and wild berries,
We would then, swing from creepers to creepers, trees to trees,
Playing amongst, brothers and sisters, friends, and other families.

Our homes have been invaded, humans encroaching, day by day.
We have been driven out of our homes; we have no place to stay.
We now, no more, hunt for food, rather by the roadside, sit or lie
Ever patiently, waiting for foods, thrown from vehicles passing by.

They call us monkeys, but look who’s been monkey-ing?
No thoughts on where we’d live, simply occupying.
Cutting down trees, destroying our habitat,
We have no home, we can call our own; ain’t it bad?

The weeds must be
                         purged,
for they smother the
                        potential
to let  flowers grow.

For without it,
        the earth suffocates,
And eventually even flowers
              will lose their petals.

In this world where you and I live
A place where one takes first then to give
Here where women and men are almost equal
But the role extends and so comes the sequel
Some reserved countries despise such rights
When they are well aware of regional fights
Third world countries seem to be rising
It starts first with food and accessory pricing
Drugs and violence has touched the heights
Most youngsters struggle in such plight
The focus of righteousness on needy
Have fallen into the hands of greedy
The poor gets poorer and rich gets richer
In the mask of a dark slave images a preacher
Angels of dark walk hand in hand to pull us down
Their population is immense throughout the city and this town
Everyone is so consumed with their work
That hardly one gets time to sit and talk
An addiction of complaining and blaming
There is loss in faith but no effort of gaining
Men have grown into ***** beasts
While their hunger satisfaction feeds on feasts
Here I am thinking of the many lives on this planet
Only the supreme beings survive
While the rest deplete struggling to thrive
This earth's natural beauty has been altered
And artificial makeups set to unify the sheltered
Natures creatures greet with signs
Hence, drawn our own boundaries and lines...

Before I looked forward, I looked at the sky
I looked at birds whose numbers will die
I looked at the plane threatened with tragedy
I observed the moon conquered by humanity

Before I looked forward, I looked to my right
I looked at the gas stations that filled me with fright
I saw the grass littered with trash
I looked at the stores begging for cash

And before I looked forward, I looked to the ground
I looked at the bubblegum blackened and browned
I saw the asphalt crumbling fast
I looked at the coal which once was vast

So before I looked forward, I looked right behind
I looked at the coal burnt sky drifting high
I saw the foundations of our nations
I looked at the people ignoring the implications

Then I looked up, and I looked straight forward
I looked for an end to all our horrors
I saw that soon it would all be done
And I looked forward, and I saw the sun.
The world is covered in clusters of light
little pockets of people at night
from far away, the only way to know
just how much we take and grow

A virus is spreading upon the earth
as we all use and discard its worth
it is certainly beautiful to see
what is killing you and me
One of my deepest fears is to look out of the airplane window and see the world mostly in possession with few dark spots in between.
Isn't it sad
that the shear host of us
umbrellas to block the glow
The light
we used to taste
in one another's
soul
Take the time to see each other shine

Our world is in trouble, not just rising prices
Famine, drought, and Co2 polluted skies
Look close and quickly jump off the tracks
Our population has spread like wildfire
Quite frightening, with no solution in sight
How can we stop this crazy train tonight?
7.4 Billion and counting soon to be 9.8 B
As every celebrity is blessed with Twins
A phenomenonal occurence? a coincidence?
Oops double pleasure, Double mint gum?
Anyway we have questions with no answers
How is mother earth going to care for us?
Supply us with water,  food and clothing?
Can we vacuum the Co2, leaving our sky clean?
Will tomorrow be a nightmare or a Dream?
Oh poets, our future awaits to be seen..

Eclipses
are a
Rare Spectacle
To and From
which celestial bodies
Can't deviate

Orbiting and Angling
Celestial bodies
With
planetary movements
The one with reflective light
Deprived of light, in an orbit
Obscures the source
Falling In a line
Gravity at play
Celestial bodies bound

Time a factor
Always a charter

Orbiting and Angling
celestial bodies
With
Planetary movements
The reflective one Aglow
Shadowed by The Planet
Obscuring the source
All in a line
Gravity at play
Celestial bodies bound

Reaching to the Mars
For a life beyond
Defying gravity
Celestial bodies bound

*Eclipses are a Rare Spectacle
Celestial bodies have Eternal Glow
Solar and Lunar eclipse ,
And a probability of life on Mars .
