The ultimate joy of life,
Without strife,
A virtue,
A necessity,
Hard work.
We think we are the masters of our fates,
It creates impatience.
Nip the fumes of impatience in the bud,
Endure and be tolerant,
Don't get worked up,
Have patience.
You need it in abundance,
To be a good parent,
A perfect teacher,
A likeable boss,
All modes of life.
Patience is the hallmark of the righteous,
So restrain your anger,
Forgive others,
Avoid snap judgements,
Very difficult but we can.
Without patience wisdom becomes foolishness,
Success turns to defeat.

while the lady in the ballroom
hikes up her sparkly dress
and tosses a drink in the face of her lover
and the prince has his eye on a
slim, red little starlet who tosses
his head back with laughter and cunning
the little mouse darts between their feet
learning more about patience, courage,
and forgiveness than
the owners of the shoes will ever
ever know.
i don’t think i’m the mouse in this situation.

I keep giving you chances
Over and over you swear you're done
When I catch you lying I try to leave
Yet always return because you're the one
I'm finally beginning to realize
That the day you change will never come
Sometimes we wait too long for things we know aren't coming

whilst the plants during winter wait
they wait for warmth and springtime rain
whilst they do so,
the ground welcomes the quiet snow:
if they, so I.
the snow embraces the ground and trees
singing soft and enamoring melodies
the trees do not fret or cry spitefully,
but instead appreciate the cold beauty:
if they, so I.
there is pain in the wait, but joy as well
a chest for two reasons could easily swell
with anger or laughter and it is a choice,
we the tuners the tone of our voice:
if they, so I.
what does that mean?
why love the snow that hides summer's green?
why must we wait to enjoy the sun?
so I say, the flowers still bloom when their time come:
if they, so I.

Tea
While the bread rises,
I grab my loose leaf green tea
Brew to my delight
I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVVVVVVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE HERBAL TEA!
Green tea, especially!

He wrote serotonin
On his brainwaves

Made oceans to swim
Inside fascination
And wandering eyes
Instead of demons
At play

He willfully
Passed his away
Shared with another
Calming every wave

And on those days
His mind took haze
And the tools were overlooked
And instead Of giving
he took
Us
They say when you meet the one you’ll know
That from the moment your eyes meet
Everything falls into place
A weight lifted off your shoulders
Singing, this is it

From the moment our eyes crossed
I felt everything all at once
I knew you were all I ever wanted
I still feel that
I still know that

You’re not there right now
You don’t see what I can
How good us can be
So for now I’ll wait until your heart is ready
Because my heart tells me it’ll always be us

I held myself together
Through the fire
Through the cold
I held my heart together
Through the lies that had been told

I let myself unravel
Feel the darkness
Feel the rain
I let my soul unravel
Giving patience to the pain

I stitched myself a new life
Always dreaming
Something more
I sewed my hope together
Stronger than I was before
