Always by your slumbering form
Your sorrow and sheets
Presence itself is a miraculous gift
Next to your body I am complete

Maybe I’ve lost my mind
Over you
Someone I could call my best friend
It’s so very true
We are inseparable but
Separated
Inevitably we live different lives
The trust I have wanes
Regrettably
When you get quiet
Because of my own insecurities
My heart has been broken
So many times but
I keep giving it to you, and hoping
You’ll treat it gently and with caution
But nights like these
When I’m alone and not sure where you are
I question if I’m still your number one
Your little star
I know you know my loyalty knows no bounds with you
But do you trust your love for me
Enough to say
You belong to me, too?

The rain-modulated trees and the hoarse leaf
That in themselves tell a love so complete,
Were once the playthings of lovers’ sights
Who passed here once and once and never.
Love the destitution of love.

I don’t need a
thousand red roses.
You're a blue rose-
the only one I want.

Shall I compare thee the wind of dawn?
Thou art more comforting and certain:
Rough winds do shake the darling buds of the mainsail,
And dawn' lease hath a few hours,
Sometimes the fog covers the eye of heaven to shine,
Overly the gold complexion is dimm'd;
And every air from air declines
This could be nature changing its course untrimm'd;
But I hope thy eternal dawn shall not fade,
Nor lose the comfort of the air thou owest,
Nor shall heartbreak brag thou wander'st in her hut,
So as long as the heartbeats or the eyes see,
So shall our love be comforting as thee dawn.
Trying something different

***
Your love is as sweet as coffee
As intoxicating as ***
Our love just like coffee mixed with ***.

I still taste the gin
from her lips
and this heart
isn't slowing down.
How can I sleep when
her voice still echoes in my ear?
But when I do,
I hope I dream of her.
Tonight was not long enough.
