It's been two years since I fell down
Into a storm within my ground.
It's been two years since I tasted Hell
Staying mute while I wanted to yell.
It's been two years since I revealed it all
Cowering low when I couldn't stand tall.
It's been two years since I was strong
With everything I knew being wrong.

Now that I stand on my own two feet
Will construction ever be complete?
Now that I'm starting to smile once more
Will they ever heal, the wounds that were sore?
Now that I'm learning to walk again
Henceforth, will I be spared more pain?
Now that I know there's much to see
Will I fulfill my own Destiny?

Watching stranger's kid playing on slides
I said to myself 'it won't last long'
The lady beside me, upset 'What?'
'The happiness' I said 'the joy in their smiles'
She stared at them, still upset 'Why?'
'They'll see the reality, and they'll know
It really is a mystery, or is a book
They climb up the ladder
And then joy ends within seconds
They slide down, happy screams
They must know the truth
It's the happiness leading to climb, again
They'll feel the value of sweat
The higher they climb, the longer they enjoy
It's really the game, they're playing right now
That creates difference and belief
To what comes next'
The lady asked 'what if a step breaks?'
'The reality has millions of slides,
better leave it and try the other one,
Or
trust himself and climb the broken
He would risk his life, but the joy will multiply
The harder they work, the sweetest they feel'
The lady asked 'where are you now?'
'I'm on the step, that might break any moment'
Child hood is filled with lessons that we must realize sooner than before we fall. But, then we must learn to stand up.

history is an old cassette tape
                     being rewound
and repeating
        we need a new tape...
"When you learn
to knit," he said.
"It's not a mistake
you make; it's
the thing that
makes your work
unique.

"Each one,"
he said,
"is a signature."

I think of my
life--with all
its lumps,
tangles, rewoven ends,
dropped stitches.

You are all
my signatures.
You're like the sun:
so far,
yet I endlessly feel your burn.

If I have too much of you
I might become ill skinned,
but if I don't have enough of you
I would lack vital vitamins.

If I don't see you
I wouldn't wake,
only sleep.

If you aren't there
life wouldn't be either;
for without you
life is just an absent dream.

life isn't about being perfect
it's about taking your circumstances
whether good or bad
and growing from them
because we have all had our bumps in the road
but if we didn't go over those bumps
we would not be the people we are today.
Live, learn, & grow.

with self
before living
with any other

A nobody in a structure
I seek guidance
to pass through curvature,
to get a chance
and more
to make mistakes
and learn greater.
