Under the bridge
Pills, muscle & back relief
Empty
Cigarettes, mirror pond pale ale
Sail away from consciousness
**** slowly
Socials Studies 10 homework
Conflicted cultures, transient economy
Fur hats
Exploration, exploitation, for
Fur hats!
Litter, candy wrapper
What are you underneath that pretty shell?
Hard heart
Soft heart
Fragile
Pencil
Potential
Lost hope, failed system
Failure
Still the stream runs on, runs away
A steady hum, a constant purr
Pure
Impure
Sinner
One day the stream will dry
And be forgotten, swept away into
Oblivion
Our memories, our ghosts
Numbed by the sound of water
Vanishes in time's cascade
Like pioneers and their fur hats.
A poem about the garbage I found under the bridge.
George Krokos Apr 2015
There’s a story about hyperbole and rigmarole
that may have something to do with rock’n roll
though there are many who will not think so
because it really depends on what you know.

The amount of garbage that is spread around
is more than enough to stay on the ground;
if it doesn’t get buried in some landfill
may in time continue on its journey still.

When we say one thing but mean another
this can be confusing even to your brother,
and if it gets in the ears of someone nearby
may be passed on without questioning why.

Word of mouth is a form of communication
which doesn’t need any lengthy explanation
yet it can in fact get the message across
irrespective of what is said to one’s loss.

Nowadays there is so much ******* and crap
it’s hard to distinguish just what isn’t a trap
to lure people into believing what’s being said
regardless of whether or not they end up dead.

Start and stop
Up the street,
Turn 180,
Repeat the beat.
The gurus on
Confessional wheels,
Absolve our sins,
Emptying bins.
I swear
They swear
A solemn oath
Never to
Disclose the truth
Found in our garbage
By the brethern,
Garbage stinking
To high heaven.
Bottles, syringes,
Boxes, bones,
Peelings, plastics,
Old cell phones,
Discarded trash
From our homes.
Wrappings bleeding
Seeping ****:
*By our garbage
Ye shall know us.

no one criticizes me
everyone just smiles and says that everything i write and share is good
they nod and say i'm "talented"
i ******* hate it
they make me want to quit writing
i read so much **** daily
so many awful meaningless expressionless words
every ******* day

and i contribute to it

someone tell me that i'll never be a writer
give me a reason to keep going
this place is secptic

we are all byproducts

I want to dump the junk
hurl the hassle
and know for sure
it’s nothing more
than ancient garbage
hanging heavy
on my shoulders

I’ve dubbed my wastebasket the wishing well
Well I wish for nothing more than a dime of
creativity to hit me,  ripple across my wrinkles
Knocking some sense in,
sink beneath my pores
So swallow my codswallop wishing well
because this is another petty penny for you.

This is something that I salvaged from a while ago. I’m glad, I didn’t throw it out.

there are times when i watch you and think i'm watching a sunshower.
and i can't help but want to feel your every drizzle and ray against my skin.

do you know what it feels like
to be hot and cold?
writing whatever

Virginity
is like a new dust pan
so shiny and bright
that is eventually full of garbage and dirt
that is thrown in the trash
with a new status
“used”

However some dustpans
are cleanse from their dirt
still carried with sin
and with  a scent of development
and sometimes wisdom

Others are always full with garbage and dirt
not knowing the basic luxury of soap
nor do they remember when it first came out the package

Other dustpans are never used
but will either rot
or with a miracle will be continually showered with soap
Lasting with great wisdom
or resentment for not ever being
“used”

But like all things
it comes to an end

a dustpan is replace
when it is broken down or rotten
continuing the cycle
of life and virginity.
A simple poem
