Years will add up , so does your ages
smiles,sadness,laughter,all will come by
will experience everything before your eye

Neither the formula of gravity nor the derivation of elasticity
could stay in your memory or in your life's story
only times when you laughed over,
times when you joked around,
times when being loved by someone,
can only live longer, and will etch deeply in your heart..
Create some good , lasting long fun memories...
Hang up with your friends , family , among loved ones, no matter the age.
You're always young by your heart.

Yesterday I went to the county fair
I hadn't been in years
And I swear after half an hour
I was almost in tears
The pizza was soggy
Hot dogs just awful
And since when did fried dough taste like falafel?
The rides took the whole day to get on
But once you finally made it
they were 2 minutes long
It was hot and sweaty and I saw lots of puke
I guess that was a bonus
but certainly no fluke
The cows were still cows
waving their ***** in the air
So I played some games, ran out of money
And left without the giant bear

These roses are dead
I guess we are too
Turns out I'm just meat
Therefore so are you

(a five minute poem - sorry, that’s all I’ve got)

I came to the university
to get some needed privacy
- to learn about the world
and give adult life a whirl.

I’m up here in the frozen north,
where I expected cold and polar bears
and the pressure of academic cares
- but there’s a storm every week
- my mom, back home, has started to freak.

This weather feels like Florida
should we keep the windows boarded-up?
Can we get the power back?
The butteries are flooded
- we can’t get snacks!

I think it’s all hilarious
and so far, a peak experience.
This looks like one of my best decisions
in spite of natures interventions.
University life, so far has been wet fun - like summer camp!

A silken drop nectar refined,
Delicious, smooth, it’s taste sublime,
Worshipped and revered in times of old,
Bacchus it’s God, his hand-maidens bold.

The Romans swilled, the Greeks imbibed,
The British drank, the French prescribed.
The Church just called it Christ’s own blood,
Believers flowed as if by flood.

This luscious liquid as fine as honey,
The fountain not of youth but merely money,
Small price to pay for so much fun,
When it can turn a dowdy day to sun.

Clinking glasses moments shared,
The more imbibed the more is bared,
Food important or so they claim,
When as a smokescreen its main aim.

All that said let me be clear
There’s a reason we choose wine not beer,
Wine is healthy, helps the heart,
Beer is fattening and so ****.

Poor Count Dracula
He nicked himself while shaving
But doesn't know it
My Dear Poet Aug 2021
I’m gonna jingle a single in my singlet
Juggle Bintang bubbles in my jocks
Run wild and free in the city
No trickery tickity tock
Just flippity flip in my flip flops
See me rickety rock off your socks
Dangle the bangle and I haggle
Cha-ching cha-ching on the rocks
One dolla two dolla or three
Join us for a beer at a party in Bali
By the bay with a babe by the sea
With Marley and Ali and me
It’s long overdue and lockdowns driving me crazy

Statuesque, cocooned in a living-goat of many colours,
Fastened by multi-hued cloven hooves,
‘Approach without fear, do not listen to rumours’
‘I am learned in lore and wisdom, a parting gift from the Elves’

I nervously approach, what shall I call you?
‘Name? so many, but call me Mother Earth’
‘I am the embodiment of all that is pure and true’
‘The virtue of flora and faunae from their living-birth’

You knew Elves! I am full of envy and wonder!
‘Yes, for many years, hundreds by your measure’
I once thought I caught a glimpse, made me shudder!
‘Do not try too hard! their spell is dangerous treasure’

Surely not! they are renowned for their kindness,
‘No! the danger lies in your malign-heart’
All I want is a quick peek, I have faith in their goodness,
‘Very well, come back tomorrow, go it is getting dark’

Sunrise beckons, into the woods I eagerly creep,
‘Do your parents know you are here?’
No! they have eyes only for my baby brother! makes me weep!
‘Step into the light, and see what will appear’

Imagine my surprise, before me my sobbing parents,
‘They are distraught, thinking you have been spirited away’
But, I haven’t! I only desire a few moments,
‘Even a brief visit will condemn you to be forever lost and astray’

‘What you see is their perpetual abjection’
‘Your jealousy is corrosive and spells mortal danger’
‘There is a hard choice, Elves and no way back, or their salvation’
‘You forget the intense glow of their love around your manger’

Master the moment
Give all to the now
Live with awareness
Let go and allow

Each moment contains
All “time” wrapped in one
So master the moment
In beauty and fun

Your moments are here
So live each one best
When one moment passes
With more you’ll be blessed

Master each moment
With practice comes skill
So thrive in each moment
With focus and will
