I know you've never seen me before,
but I've always been here.
Just invisible
Just a poem
courtney Jan 2019
Like candy floss in my mouth,
Like smoke you disappear
I’m chasing after ghosts it seems
Not sure you’re really there.

Wrapped up in your promises,
Your perfect warm embrace.
You’re the only type of daydream
I would give my life to chase;

I know the day this becomes my old poetry

I will see all its faults
"This was wrong and that was false"
I'll say in one big fit.

There won't be anything
that makes me angry
besides my own accidents.

Maybe it's ironic
how I'll inquire
why it made an impact.

I look now with love,
later with loathing,
and long ago with the least.
I honestly don't really like this poem

She...

revelrous without
the alibi
of Christmas

many join in
swiftly slicing shadows
from looming skyscrapers

few see beneath
the ****** of mirth
children sob within

partners in crime
with adult eyes
destined to stare

at arid landscapes
removed from life's
scorpion bite
somewhat inspired by a recent poem by Lydia XIII 'Intentional' - many a bright and breezy stance belies much torment within

You told me that I'm your only one
you swore to me that you'll never be gone
you promised me that we're always bind
that's why I put them in my heart and mind.

Reminiscing those mem'ries while sitting in this lonely bench
the picture of your smile, melt
faithful heat, but suddenly I realized
that we are now apart.

When the sun is setting and the wind is blowing
I prayed I'm in your arms again
when the rain is falling the cold beholding, I remembered your forgotten promises.

My scattered dreams and shattered heart is waiting again for you to start
and asked my self where are you now
'cause you left to me you broken vow.

I am true to you but you never do
and our love will never last
in our
perfect past.

watch me fall into your arms
even though they're made of thorns
all i can smell are the flowers.

watch me break down my walls
even though they're made of titanium
all i can see is hope.

watch me drown in your eyes
even though they're made of fire
all i can feel is the warmth.
guess what? i wrote in french class again! but i was listening to Smithereens by Twenty One Pilots this time. It's a good song, I suggest listening to it.

I see blood red, when I close my eyes
And black falling stars, when I open my eyes
A darting arrow, right across the sky
With my name engraved in the sky

Rain of prickly thorns, brush through my skin
Stretching, brusing, tearing my skin
The strength to lift myself, is no more
The once life filled body is no more

Shattering leaves sing, dead songs
No rhyme or rhythm matches the songs
A distant footstep sheds a little hope
But it seems a delusion, a false hope

And so I am here again
Starting over, remembering the difference between what was, what is, what should have been

And so I am defining love
Unselfish, steadfast and unwavering through all that may try to invade what has been build to last

And so I see it for what it was
A desperate wanting for untainted promises and pure devotion by one who said he would

And so I see what I missed
The two were not equal; one was not tested and true. For she was the only one that was prepared, that was...

Where did I go wrong
Where did you go wrong
What did we do wrong
Holding onto the idea
We could be fine
We could fix this
Naive
That word was the beginning to the end
Hope
That was the falsity I never wanted
