Substance flows out.
Making way through my ears
And nose too.

He calls out,
Scurrying to my aid.

vacancy

within a cell
between walls
built of ears
and eyes
who see and

Dancing in the moonlights shadows
A beaming light, O so narrow

Following the glimpse of light
Hearing laughter of the utmost delight

A glance through the little door
Two  youngins lying on the floor

Chatting about the brightest things
On I go as midnight rings

Now excited about what tomorrow brings

Time to step out of my dark room
Now I dance in the light of the moon

Hardest to find when in need
Can bleed out of thee when
silence is the key

These joyous instruments are models of expression
hold you back or set you free
if you can handle their potential
they are dangerous
but oh how beautiful they can be

Of course its words that I mean

they say nothing in life is free

love
pain
greif
joy

the cost of harnessing these
or living through them is incalculable

but saying them
aloud
expressing emotions
through these simple letters
is powerful

yet their complexity can be captured
by these words

That's the richness that I need

my knuckles are bruised from the day before
i am now tense and scared
for tomorrow
another battle
is equal to another day
i have to fight for dominance
when it comes to being safe
for myself

a soldier who's fought great battles
