Looking at the left

Looking at the right

I am of need of distractions

A distraction to put distance

To my distorted mind.
I need distractions to avert myself from stresssss

Which one to believe?
When you tell me I am the one,
Or the fact I am just another one.
illusion of being one... when you know you are not the one it's just one more lie....

Why do you scurry along life's unlit byways
Your head bowed, fists jammed in your pockets?
To avert calamity? To guarantee success?

Did you miss the turn-off?
In your busyness and inattention
Did you forget to read the signposts?

Lift your eyes from the ground
Slow your pace and stretch the kink from your neck
Do you know where you are?

Unfurl your empty grasp and consult your inner compass
You will find a map etched on the inside of your heart
Do you see the way ahead?

Yes, I thought so.

Fog
This morning the plains are shrouded in a thick fog
and here I am right in the middle of it
drifting all around
looking for a buoy, a light, a sight or sound
so I’ll know I am somewhere
and not nowhere.

I wonder how many of us
are in their own foggy world
if the planet has little patches
hovering over our species
each of us wandering -
sometimes with great determination -
looking for a place, trying to see
somewhere firm in the shrouded sea
a place calm and silent to be
just for a minute or two or three.

When those tired sad songs
Twist to melodies of love
That's when you know
You're in trouble
Wrote this more about brief moments of infatuation distracting you from a previous heart break, rather than about finding another love.

One love will never replace another.

Gazing up  on a cold winter night
I miss the moments made under this starry sky
My heart loves it constantly
Like the constellation in the sky
Sometimes,
I gaze for long
And I see a new star
The one I had never seen
Whole my life
Fond of the star I stray far
From what I am
And
Who I am supposed to be
Something in ground distracts my sight
I try to find the star again in sky
But there they are
Millions covering the sky
I say goodbye to the one I saw
The few moments that I smiled
But again
Trying to find
The new light
I fly again
In my interstellar flight

you are a distraction.
not just a normal distraction but a soul crushing, joyful yet disappointing distraction.
your smile hides a thousand lies.
your eyes cloud my immidiate thoughts.
your presence bring laughter and it brings tears to my eyes - not the good ones.
you are a distraction.

-an unhealthy one i might add.
