Maximum threshold
The pain multiplied tenfold
It's raining outside

Shipwrecked and stranded
On the mast, wait for sunset
This goes on for days

Starving and marooned
Here comes forth a mighty swoon
Staring at the moon

Now comes a big wave
It could easily drown you
Sapped of your last strength

A bright light beams down
A helicopter above!
Deep breath, you've been found

Something isn't right
The copter is out of gas
Alas, it crashes

It was meant to be
The hands of fate decided
Both wash out to sea

Avertable impact
Ripped open lid
The fuse lit
And die they did

Imo
Mont-Blanc
The harbor a carcass
Their treasures sunk

Dartmouth
Richmond
Tufts Cove
One last gasp in the sun

Wretched captains
As kings who fought over
Duchess of Aquitaine

Everything to lose
Nothing to gain

"She may one day queen it
over that fair demesne..."
Love Aug 2020
You breathe words down my neck,
that there's no gold found on me,
that instead of gold my fingers leave dirt behind,
that my tangled hair reminds you of weeds in the garden,
that my legs are filled with bumps and scars,
that my stomach protrudes too far,
that my thighs are too robust,
that hair on my skin is only the devils invention.

The brown skin you press against,
is far from the vibrant soft metal of gold,
you'd remind me time and time again,
and I'm lucky that there's a fool looking for me.

I needed to write this. When will we have enough of 2020? When will the surprises and deaths end? When I look at all the bad things that have happened in 2020, and we’re just half through, I get scared.

From COVID-19 pandemic to Kobe and Gigi’ Bryant’s death to Australia burning to earthquakes, to George Floyd’s killing to Myanmar mine landslide disaster and now Beirut’s explosion.

The videos that moved me to tears from the explosion were the father trying to save his son and the maid who ignored her own life to save her employer’s child. But there’s hope for tomorrow.

To all those who have lost their family, friends and loved ones in 2020, my condolences.

The vision is unique and deserves praise.
How can you send vibrations without saying anything?
Frequencies have nothing on you,
As you step,
the world stutters in front of you.
Despite the energy in the air,
you control the mood swings.
I am outside of my body,
looking into a mirage,
looking at you.
Come back to life,
It's easy to fall out of love,
hold my hand,
hang tight.
Seat belts could save your life
You are the seatbelt never fastened.
I am the car whose life means
less.
Perhaps time will tell
Hatred burns our cities down,
As ash and dust roll o'er the ground,
And in the distance, war horns sound
The call to stand and fight.

But hatred met with hate makes fear-
It's already been a frightful year
Why cant we just listen, ear to ear
And stop the cycle now?

But, they say, its too far gone-
What's wrong is right, what's right is wrong;
But how far is too far to drag along
Without corruption on all sides?

And in the wake of desperate cries,
Did we make sights worth our eyes?
Or did we leave things to be despised
When we paved the way for tears?

Are we proud to hold the line
When the devastation we left behind
Disturbs and hardens every mind
Casting shadows long and deep?

I cannot say that I agree
With this depraved humanity-
But acting without responsibility
Makes us all ashamed.

Yes, anger, hate, and bigotry
Make us all hurt and angry;
But none of these make us free-
For we are all the same.

Nature will have her way,
She will laugh in the darkness,
it will not be long until there is
nothing left but bone and marrow,
and in a coal face a mile wide,
there will be diamonds
shining like the first stars,
as the world ceases its turn,
the oceans will dry,
all the noise will finally die,
and the only question
left to ask of man and beast
will be why?
why did the gods
bother at all?
we are sickly despots,
far from evolved,
killing just to live another day,
all in all a perfect failure,
all in all a disaster piece.
