She said "you are the one"
He responded "you are also the one..."
She grabbed him because she was so happy
He was not so happy
She had finished her sentence
He had not finished his sentence

she longed for Love,
but looked
in all the
wrong places.

love wasn't enough
to fill the
difference.
He's the completer, comforter, best lover. He fulfils and loves beyond warrant.

Regarding this sin that I do not speak about
Yet is silence a granted blessing?
Silence works both ways for us
Putting faith together
And breaking noise apart
For seventeen years I lived mum
But on the eighteenth one summer drum
Rang the sound of an epiphany
And jubilation came in voice singing
Love is still love after all

Regarding this sin that throws people off
Yet why is that so?
Why is it easier to look up for divinity
Than it is to look past differences
For difference is not sin
Are you bathed in flames for being
Different from your kin?

Regarding this sin some lives have been lost
And anonymity gives ****** a helping hand
But most flawed are those who pretend
To be a sheep in a lion’s den
To don the crown of power and speak
On the behalf of their conqueror
Yet no thorns to the head they suffered
And for them it is easier
To be vile than to pass vows
Funny how difference
Can be similar in so many ways

Regarding this sin are we not all human?
And conflations have been made about this
And poetry spun with lexis that runs
The course of skeletal rivers
Lungs that breathe in purple air
Eyes that tear at the sight of hatred
Lips that just want to be loved
And skin that warms at every touch
But senses do not prevail
Against the laws that trap these sinners
And heaven knows that schadenfreude has been attained
At their expense
For we omit them almost entirely
Till the moment they are drowning
But us quiet sobbing sinners
Shall exist in different ways

Regarding this sin what more is there to be said of it if we have run the course of debate but yet nothing ever changes?
Perhaps expositions such as these to start
We must be less afraid to speak
Less afraid to show the love we choose
But then again

Did we?

Regarding this sin you have so labelled
Are you fit to give us names?
All our dog-gone days are over
We were not the first to be made
And neither
Shall we be the first to be torn down
Running gets tiresome when you
Are constantly playing a game of hide
And seeking to be found
But patience is the toughest waiting game
And
With faith beyond reasonable doubt we know

Love is still love after all

'Hold the candletip to my fingertips', she said
Shuddering under the weight of heat
And my incredulous stare.

'Do it'. she ordered, and I did,
Believing a love without identity would last as long,
'Cut off my hair.' she shouted

I did, it stuck up short
Cowlicks on her forehead
'Enough.' I said. She shook her head.

'Squeeze my chest, love, and don't be gentle,
For I shall know in the heave of my breast.'
I did and she cracked within under the hate of how much I wanted.

'Now, take my words-'
'What?'
'Let me finish.' she said

'Take my words and give me yours,
We can share one voice,
My God we can.'

I took my words,
Though it was agony to rip them free
And she received them without thanks.

Her hair short, her words shorter
Her chest flat, her fingers flatter
Before me a mirror stood

I tried to see her face, but only hated mine
And told myself I would never see her again
I realised too late her difference was what made me love her.

I am the beautiful Scorpion Queen
Ruler of hidden places
Securer of hiding spaces
Buried often under rocks
Cautious of people
Who stamp over me
So I mastered the perfect sting
As those who encroach over me
I give a little ping

They say I look nasty
But I do it all for you
As I show you your true value
I will bite the hand that
Undermines you
As me and my children
Will protect your foundation
And cut the vines of envy
That strangle you
As I love sacred spaces

I lift the confusion from those
Who say all is one
But live on the outside
And trample over everyone
I cut the claws
With my jaws
Breaking the need to please

I say build your house
Before you build your city
As I preserve the
Sanctity of duality
The guardian of your cave
Protector of your temple
Keeper of your palace
A soldier who keeps on fighting
Fighting to the death
May you visit me
On memorial day
My life I feel complete
As I sew doubt splitting the world
Like a chisel into wood

But I celebrate dividing lines
And cut the white light
To give you colour
Let the rainbow shine
As I champion variety
The Goddess of individuality
As I give you difference
And hold the value of
Many shapes and sizes
I release you to your self portrait
Colourful Mosaic
My nippers become the scissors
Of the Lord's dressmakers
As my tail does the needle work

I clear the muddled mind because
They all said you must say yes
I take away the guilt of no
Heavy shoulders weighed down by yes
And give you NO NO NO
NO to the controller
No to those who think
They know better
Dare a no to the precious Guru
For I will betray the Christ
Out of my Love for you

When they point their finger
I will make your point much sharper
I will rescue your sweet
Innocent soul
Which can not defile
I will get my hands dirt
So you don't have to
They call me the betrayer
But what I want
Is for you to find
The real you
As my gift is
Your TRUE SELF

So much love to give
And possesses a beauty
That puts the Gods to shame
Our truly great SCORPION QUEEN
Also think of the sign Scorpio
And Judas who had a raw deal

I saw a homeless man
lay hopelessly
Like a frayed kite.
Patchwork intentions
conquered by his chemical imbalance.

Addiction.

I saw a business man
walk arrogantly
Like a lion after a ****.
Humbled intentions
conquered by his
instituted passion for monetary growth.

**Addiction.

The night is dark against your fair fur feathers
And your wingspan holds true against the glass.
Legs splayed against the pane, hard and fast pressed against the portal to my world.
You'll do anything to touch the light.

I cannot blame you, I have been there,
Outside in the cold warming yourself with the thought of a light bulb
Feeling the phosphorus of that explosion with your eyes and ears
Longing to be a part of what is good.

No, I cannot let you in, for
I am ready to selfishly bathe in this illumination
The moonlight will do for you
So I suppose I'm just as bad as the others were when

They kept me out.

Window panes and light refrains
From being yours, but mine.
All you shall do is hang there and wish
You had a light switch of your own

Ready to make your own world bright
Ready to lift you from the darkness
Ready to help you spread your wings
And fly in the day like all the other successes.
With just a flick.

Poor moth, it must be
Cold out there.
There's a moth on my window.

With a heart so cold, with a tongue so harsh,
Only your view is your relief.
And the kids you killed, tell me just one thing,
Were they, too, rebels of your beliefs?
/
My way to separate from you
A great distance,
As if in between a long light years,
Your light takes to reach

Until my darkness
One sleepless night alone
As if a full dark moon
A thick dam on my eye

But your lipstick looks red
As if the color of my blood
Your Car black
Like the color of my skin

Your love pink
Mine blue
Your dream in color
My black and white

You are a star, live beside a star
I can see you
But don't ever go to the touch
Not an one of the far
