Sunlight leaks through the leaves.
Silence sways upon the breeze.
Life swarms amongst the trees.
You stand, not moving, afraid to speak.

Whatever hand swirled
In the cosmic bucket,
Continues to stir the stars.
Keep swirling them
Across my sky.
In daylight I know
There's work afoot
Maintaining the equilibrium
Of the gyroscope;
But remove it,
And we're feeding oats
To the horsemen's rides.
The stars will fall in upon themselves;
And me,
And you.
Digits of chance, luck, chaos and coincidence,
And the thumb of phenomena
Move through the infinite waters,
Clockwise,
One second at a time,
Swirling, swirling, swirling,
Like the snail on a rock.

I've tried to warn you
again
and again
about

those times you say
your hair is ugly
because it doesn't glow
as you'd like to

or you are as uninteresting
as a grain of salt
dropped in the water
of a cosmic ocean

or your gritty knees
aren't lovely because
they aren't soft enough
to sleep over them

or your eyes aren't shining
because you feel
you are empty
as if nothing matters

I've tried to warn you,
the dearest of my moons,
that you are
so wrong.

I find you,
let's see,
fascinating,
glowing,

chaotic,
enigmatic,
magic,
soft,

lovely,
ephemeral,
yet,
so unforgettable

I find
your hair
dancing
with your shoulders

to some music
that
was really
acute

yes, I find it
so amusing
I could stare you
for hours

(no matter
how much
your hair
'isn't glowing')

I say, I can connect with your veins
and navigate
through
all your inner galaxies,

in constant expansion,
with their entropy
walking around
in the park of life

and I believe
it is
so wonderful
I can't believe my eyes.

I could get lost in your skin
every time
you get
asleep,

because
Radiohead isn't enough
to make me feel
like a lost song

if I'm not lost
around you,
then,
why am I lost?

and, yet,
your eyes
are a mystery
waiting

for the rain
to come
and wash you away,
and wash mankind away

that's why,
my darling,
I keep insisting
that

you
are
so
wrong.
for her.
Streams of dust
through an endless expanse.
I am the universe.
My first attempt at a haiku. I hope you like it!

in a cathedral of my own making
i am dust basked in sun light
with hands stretched out
to love the pillars
that have held me up
when the stained glass windows
were celebrated for the
light they let in
and the most divine part of me
the cracks of my temple at
the bottom of my spine were
left to widen like horizons
begging to be spread farther
were left like myths untold
but all the stories are true
and the smallest parts of me
are not fables and myths
left to keep your imagination
alive and you afloat
the smallest parts of me
are particles that have
held me up longer
than you have
and i may be alone
just as many of us are
but who has time to
count a star
when astronomers count
galaxies on the tips of their fingers
and i am but an atom of the universe
just as we all are

i lost you too easily
to space dust dreams and cosmic clouds of nebulae.
knowing you, you would have willingly dissolved yourself
to beautiful phenomena such as these

ever since i woke up to the stars igniting brighter than normal
and your body disappearing from the other side of the bed,
i packed my bags to traverse every swirling galaxy within reach
in the pursuit of finding you

perhaps that is why you decided to leave planet Earth;
you have always been itching to join the stars
you never felt settled in your skin, in the matter that made you
and you wanted to be something more.

i do not know how long i will keep searching for you amongst cosmos
and i have seen my fair share of comets and dark matter,
but whatever universe you are in may never come in sight -
at least the stars seem brighter with you now

You are a walking galaxy of fossil stardust.
Every single atom in you- the calcium in your bones and the iron in your blood was created in 13 billion years ago.
Everything you can imagine, man-made or natural was composed of
atoms that originally born during the Big Bang or, from millions of supernovae explosions.
You are here,
you are alive because stars died;
it's that
simple.

a slow walk through the cosmos
diving into a black hole-
god in the end just one big fat over-busy mole
digging through dark matter

We are fragments
distilled and meticulous
spheres of flesh and bone
replicating thru space
like the urgency of fractals

We are galactic bulls
breaking laws
with our big *****
spread across the
star spangled void

We need far too much...
******* at the black breast
of gravity and forgetting
these bodies are really temporary
Forgetting
we once belonged to the sky
Fleeting ether
and ascending mediocrity

You are a wonder,
One I can hardly describe.
Perhaps like the cosmos above our heads.
With galaxies burning in your eyes,
I trace constellations across your skin.
A smile cuts across your face like a shooting star,
Glittering, burning, a sight to behold.
Laughter bursts from your chest,
So bright and warm,
Supernovas fizzle out in shame.

You are a wonder,
one I will always hold dear.
Like the cosmos above our heads,
I’ll always look at you in sheer awe.
With your luminous heart
With your halcyon mind
You are a wonder
And you are mine.
