The blonde shimmer of your hair gets lost
In the lights of city and it begins to transform
Into your ambition that keeps you alive
While the shine and glory of youth that you have in your face
Is mixing with loud sirens of the city

Just a little bit , just a little bit shine that I’m searching for
A green glimmer would keep me alive
Trying to distract myself  from the distance that we put between us
A shine of happiness would keep my heart alive

So busy with our lives that we don’t even realize
How the city reacts with our hearts
When we feel a heartache we just look at the city lights
Like lights could take the pain away

Perfectly cut, walls of glasses
Another day is beginning
The sun is rising again.
Inspired by Junko Ohashi’s Crystal City.

Stirring the city streets is always relaxing.
Whether I'm on foot, or in a car, I move swift and watch.
I watch the spiders pull their strings and tighten and intertwine their intricate webs
Less so focused on any prey,
And more focused on not letting their webs plummet into a tangled mess below.
I walk and watch.
I drive and watch.
The street names become background noise
As I walk with scissors
Looking for the right spiders
To cut free.
I see your networks and I know how it works

Staring
just staring
observing the city
people moving talking
dramas comedies unfolding
get a glimpse briefly

Staring
just staring
don't have much going on
but the city does
endless action
movement
sound

Railings bridges buildings
big building with letters

You were  bright-eyed like a flouriest
                     angel lighting up the streets.

But they can be dimming.

            Night has away of draining
                                                  beauty

into void less shadows.

I once saw stars in your eyes,
now all I see is the space

in-between.

Flowers blossoming,
            spring breezes
            were your words to me.

I found you clipped,
           dead eclipses vacant within you.

It doesn't matter how bright you shine,
                               the city may outshine

                                                  you.

And what was always able to rise,
set with the demise of light.

They found you extinguished,
in a shallow grave of regret.

Cities have a way of collecting
             the wishes upon stars,

and dousing them out in to
nothingness
            but silence.

I wish upon a star, but all stars die...

He walked past skyscrapers and city lights
Passing the school every night.
"I'll still be here," He mumbled into the dusk
While asteroids blazed overhead.
Days followed by
In a solar system, running down.
The more he looked up -
The more he felt like gravity was letting loose
"Someday, somehow, we'll collide."
Forever hoping,
It was who they were.
They were on a collision course.

Pour another
Gin and T!
Soak in the din.
Sins sung phase into crescendo,
laughs leave our chests and wallets open.
It's just alcohol for dinner, tonight.
What? No lime!

God, I thought I was grown up.

Rapidly approaching dusk, the sunbeams are bouncing across car roofs, creating a river of deep red.
Below there's broken glass strewn across the always shining like star light bending in the atmosphere.
I wonder what the glass thinks of being shattered by drunk nomad who felt the desire to release the bottle at high velocity?
Does it care that it's avoided by all the passers by?
Does it feel free having escaped the vessel and sprawl across the concrete?
Perhaps I need to be shattered to break free?
Trapped in mental paradox I struggle to find resolution.
Wading in ambiguity without direction, exhaustion settles into routine.
Waiting to see the fruits of my investment in self.
Work in progress... Not sure where I'm going with this

As the airplanes
Take off
And land
The children
In the
School yard reach up and
Out
As if to grab the planes.
