make a choice
create it to have

Shades of green
Softly flow as lucid dreams
A pristine gleam
Rising heights towards the light
Gentle tones as canes bow
The air parts through yellow darts
Our periphery unseen

Sharp leaves and strength condensed
Where short roots shape new shoots
Support structures or weapons of war
To create beauty or destruction
The choice be yours

Truth
be an essence
wanted or unwanted

all be truth
to one believing it

choice
can never be denied
for all truth
be created thru the act of choosing

why do you flee from me?
when i called you my dove,
i did not mean to give you wings to fly away
what will i do? how can i forbid you
your freedom

love is the wings clipped
because of the grounded lover
love is the willful descent of the high

and the exultation of the one lowly

We are hidden,
   The memories
   The thoughts
   The joy
   The experiences of your past

We get so stuck behind the thoughts of your daily struggles
You forget us
We make you who you are
We want you to remember us
All you have to do is listen

Listen

To the look on your fathers face when you walked into his arms for the first time

To the joy on his face when he taught you how to swim and played with you in the water

To the determination that never allowed your pain to stop you from getting out of your hospital bed

Every time

To the joy you spread to others from simply a smile shared

Remember us,
             We are here just pay attention

I have come to realize that the hardest thing
to do is not picking out an option from two that
are very similar in nature, but rather putting myself first.
