'Twas all so beautiful a sight,
A long summers night; The sacred stars were burning bright about our mother moon.

The wind filled the sails above the waves, that sped us through the sailors tales, and brought us to a deep lagoon.

We cast our nets out far and wide, then watched them sink below the tide, which rattled out a tune for me and you.

We hauled aboard the silver fish, to fill our bellies and our fists, then set off home with seagulls squawking tunes.

The wooden boat now tied about the quay,
its tattered sail and rusty cleat,
gently tug and tug the rope upon the swell.

come to sea!
You know me well!!
A little well used boat tied about a key

It feels like walking under a night sky,
Only to look up and see grey,
Like the stars had sunk to the bottom of the ocean.

I feel swallowed up,
And as though I still house something,
Yet my body's but a hollow vessel.

With no lighthouse,
No storm to sweep me away,
I am merely a boat on a vast sea of tranquillity.

Though sometimes,
Silence is the most deafening noise of all.

When the white noise buzzing of the fan is shut off
there is nothing.

No voices.
No music.
No laughter.

Nothing fills the air.

But then the thoughts,
the ones you've tried to bury long ago,
start creeping in.

And you wish for nothing more
then a life boat of sound
to rescue you.

But you just slowly sink
and drown
in the sound of silence.

An old ferry boat
Lay trapped under layers of mud;
Flood’s message writ large!

The water roils and thunder rumbles
Growls low and long across the miles
The waves stir and the wind wakes
In the storm upon the sea

The boat is tossed upon raging waters
At the mercy of the ocean
Slave to every maddening motion
In the storm upon the sea

As the earth unleashes fury
Driving rain and flashing fire
A prayer sent up; sound swallowed by the wind
In the storm upon the sea

The plea is heard as the wind whispers
The clouds roll off to show a sea of diamonds
Moonlight reflects off shining waters
In the night upon the sea

I was in the waves
I was in the waves and I could not swim
I was in the waves and I could not swim so I raised my arms to signal for help
Nobody helped me
I was in the waves and I was drowning
I was in the waves and I was drowning and I told myself that maybe it wasn’t so bad
Then a fish touched my bare skin and I reminded myself that this was awful
I was in the waves drowning and a man went by on his boat
I was in the waves drowning and a man went by in his boat and asked “hey, are you drowning?” and I said no, I was not drowning, and he said “ok” and went on his way
I was in the waves
I was in the waves and I could not swim
I was in the waves and I was drowning

The broken heart
sinks deep.
Like a broken boat
lost at sea.
Drifting down into
a pit of darkness.
The broken boat
lost and heartless.

What day it is
what place is this
Answer is there
I can see
but cannot see
the book is open
unreadable

the seamless
more I know less
up to the point
I know what I want
till nothing to
wait for
the sour feeling
keeps coming

driving slow
not missing sun's glow
it is bright
like always
beating on its own
the little heart
from its start

many branches
of the root
all stretches
out
to find a better place
participating in
every race

further apart
from where I had started
no closer to the end
it is no better than
if I just stop
midstep

it is not money
not for this journey
all I do
is do it more
candle is melting
all the wax
how can I reform
myself

The structure
all that matters
is that it stands
no fall, no toll
it is not as simple
to make the life boat sail
