i feel like you don't see me
i'm shimmering in the light
but it doesn't catch quite right

i don't cast shadows
i get caught in feathers of wings
and get carried away

like pollen on a bee
S R Mats Mar 2015
Six months on, and hundreds of offspring later,
She is much too languid to even move.

The listless queen bee is stung repeatedly;
Her own children have seemingly turned on her.

Once good and dead she is tossed from the nest.
Merciless? Or mercy killing?

I will leave you to decide.
Poppi Mae Mar 2015
there's not much to know about me
but there's this boy i love,
and he's my honey bee.

there's not much to know about me
but this boy i love,
he calls me his sweet pea.

and there's so much to know about him
but i don't think sees,
what he truly means to me.

everything about him,
everything little thing,
makes me wanna sing.
sing all about him and what
he does to me.

this boy that i love,
i feel he's sent from above.
this boy that i love,
he tells me i'm someone he's proud of.

but does he know
how much i glow
when he's around?
and does he know
when i'm alone
he's all i think about,
all i think about.

so if heaven is real,
then i feel truly ethereal
when we're together,
and i want him forever.

but forever, isn't long enough,
but i hope i'm strong enough.

"PuppyCat"
By Arcassin Burnham

Magic letters,
To the soul,
Once it sparkles,
Then behold,
I need noones everlasting help,
But yours,
Are you a cat?,
Maybe a dog?,
Letting all your memories become victims,
Of smog,
Then turn into a blank Requiem,
It goes to show I'm so appalled,
I guess you'd never thought I'd with chocolate covered strawberry blogs,
Can't look for proper income,
Than you better get a job,
Can't ever get one,
So you worship bones and skulls,
May I say more about you overreact,
Better keep the faith and love in puppycat.

"Chandelier"
By Arcassin Burnham

We won't be the only two hanging here,
Blinded by the light,
We should make it last while we still have our dignity,
I hope you're not too into me,
Cause in a distant memory,
I see clarity,
Couple drinks in my system,
And the remedies,
I just hope you're not too into me,
Another line sniffed,
So we're in another place,
Let this not be a penalty,
I hope you're not into me,
Still hangin.
So much fantasy lol

Symbols of light
shine down to my feet
Seeking a glance
at my carnival of suffering

I stared into the blank space
piercing it with remorse
Dressed to the nines,
Senses blasted then gone

One bite of my life,
tossed to the sea
Pure whiteness
and rust colored waves

Stung by the bee
while pollination begins
Swollen fingers and deep breaths
remove the pain at all cost
Just some deep thought images as I was dozing off

A woman is like a flower;
She blossoms.
The petals of her soul stem down to her roots, and
The bee that rests upon "she loves me" is the one who reaps the honey.

The flower told the bee
Who was about to **** himself
"Why do you insist on dying?"
The bee, sad , replied
"Because in that death will
I only ever feel I was alive"
Shaking its pretty petals
In contradiction, the flower said
"You are wrong. To exist is to
live for something, for someone"
The bee now mad, cried out
"What do you know?You're
just a flower!"
The flower,smiled, sadly
"No I live for you"
"I breathe in knowing you need
me to stay alive and that
is enough reason for me to
live"
The lines in this poem are supposed to be a dialogue I planned on including in a story I started ages ago and just couldn't find the inspiration and time to finish. And this is how I see friendship, how I see our human connections as something enduring and genuine. Have a nice day :)

Pt. 1
I am a clumsy giant
Oblivious to worlds below.

Outside, outside is so nice!
Awake, rejuvinate me!
Oh! The beauty!
Even the air is greener,
On the other side here
Oh living our lives indoors
Was an unhappy accident of genius
Oh to spend days with trees and grass!

-- A sudden stab. A pause.
Lifted leg reveals
Buried, ensnared in foot
Handsome bee,
Buzzing for escape
One more wriggle
And it's gone. To die.

Oh! Back we go we go!
To hide from the cruel world!
Away from bees
And wasps and stings
Such mildly inconvenient things.
- And off the bee went to die.

Pt. 2*
Such short lived pain for me
Is death for one of the hive

This wound I lament
Will heal so shortly
Yet its cause
Will surely die

The life the cost
A life is lost!
Yet my pain is all I can see

Hives collapse
Honey ramsacked!
They're fed with sugar tea

Pesticidal pollen
Oh ain't disease rotten!
The strife of the honey bee.

I am a clumsy giant...
Thinking of experimenting this into an artsy song...
axr Dec 2014
it was buzzing
near the lights
i wanted to take the life out if it
but i waited

"Patience pays"

i waited
i turned off the lights
and went on to take a shower
i came back
and saw it cringing on the floor
his wings managing to flutter but not strong enough to lift him up.
took my Adidas
and hit him hard
*I was satisfied with the ****.
this is about killing a bee in my room

Tell me something
Honey bee
What's the point
In you and me?
Is it to fly?
To fly so free?
Won't you tell me,
Honey bee?

Stripey black and
Yellow too,
What's the point
In me and you?
Is it the flower,
The nectar glue,
Which you find nice
And I do too?

I scratch my head
And drink my tea.
You dance your dance
And make honey.
Us two together
We know, do we
The sweet things we make
Make us sweetly free.
There's no deep meaning to this one, just a silly poem. :)
