You promised you’d never let go;
You promised a lifetime.
Standing there and holding her
As if I’m completely blind.
He thought he could hurt me,
But I am completely fine.
I’ve been with a cheater,
A beater,
A super overachiever…
Now I need some me time-
Some bubble bath and chai tea time.
No reason to shave time-
I am fine with who I am.

I am beautiful
Stronger than ever before
Don't forget that babe
Haiku are my favorites!

I will never allow another individual to denote my power and potential. I am beautiful from inside and out. I have fought my demons and I am proud of who I am and where I am today.
Babe,
You don't mind me calling you that?
I wish I can hold you in my arms
I wish that you can only see
that way that my heart
is
breaking.

How you mention
the way you care for someone else
and when you carelessly remind me
of the way
you lack to feel
for me.

I lost you
And
I can't get you back.

I'm sorry
I know you will be happy back home. I'm nothing but a temporary American to you. I will never forget you

A woman on a Donkey,
her Husband by her side;
Would soon bare a son,
who would one day save their lives.
~
They entered a small town,
seeking shelter at an Inn;
Yet there wasn't any room,
for this Babe who'd forgive sins.
~
The labor pains grew worse,
then the ones she'd felt before;
To a Manger they were led,
where she gave birth on the floor.
~
They gazed upon their child,
wrapped in swaddling clothes;
They knew He was the Christ,
for an Angel told them so.
~
God became a man,
the moment Christ was born;
What a blessed day that was,
what a glorious, new Morn.
~
His parents loved this child,
they did the best they could;
They watched Him as He played,
they watched Him nailed to wood.
~
They saw Him in the Manger,
they saw Him on that tree;
They both lived for their Son,
He lived to set them free.
After bearing down with all the strength of Venus,
Clenching her jaw as she wrangled with loud cries,
Thoughts and memories of battle vanish,
Drifting away with each stroke of the new bundle.

Choking back tears as he kisses below her crown,
Her forehead speckled with manifestations of struggle,
Licking his lips he tastes maternal salt,
Reaching to clutch the delicate fruit of her labour.

Your mouth fumbles
When you call me baby
The word is foreign.
You are afraid.
A mouse caught in the gaze of a snake.
Will it slice your tongue if you say it too hard?
Or too soft?

It rolls up your throat
Pushes past your teeth with great strength
Awkward and sounding slightly out of breath
You mumble it between "hey' and "how are you"
Squished and small
Like it doesn't deserve recognition or even its own space.

You've wrapped it in fear
Hoping that if you say it nicely
Maybe somehow it will be less like a missile
Maybe this time it won't hurt.

It is exotic to that mouth of yours.
A rare commodity,
A precious rock we have to excavate
Our own romantic version of the sword in the stone

I’m Longing and Learning.
Constantly, I’m yearning
For a man who isn’t mine.
A divine being- I find
The time is turning.
I’m older,
I’m bolder,
Unsure if you’ve grown colder.
Too frisky to care-
I dare to find someone
Completely new.
Tired of feeling blue for you.
