Theia
your last day
 Aug 2023 ryn
Theia
on your last day
the sun was shining
and big white clouds ran across the sky

someone held you tight
and told you, "i love you"
admired you
and cherished you

on your last day
all of your love poured out

you inspired
and you soared
you lived
and you died

your love remains
always

There is beauty in the chaos
A particular grace in the roaring of waves

Mayhem
yet
Order

Harmony.

A torrent of emotions
Thrashing into me
Pulling me in

I may drown in it

The chaos may **** me

but it’ll be the most alive I’ve ever felt.

You are coffee,
And I am milk,
We may go fine alone,
There are others, I can get along,
But only our fusion can create,
LATTE ART❤
I love coffee latté🤤

Anx
.
Poor, poor girl.
Frightened of her own shadow.
So I turned her around
to face the Sun.

Would you be kind enough
to direct me,
to the nearest exit
I am leaving .

Like we always say
"You deserve to be happy"
We do know better...
This may never reach you anymore but you were the best of everything. And I hope you find peace, new love and the life you wanted. Keep it up!

We measure our progress
With the moves that we make
Inch ourselves forward
Step by outlandish step

In the direction we're pointing
Crane our necks to the sky
Feeling anointed
Never questioning why

The flag we are flying
Is coming unfurled
Not quite perfect timing
In this counter-clock world

Shifting our purpose
To suit growing needs
Feel that it's worth it
Desire mixed with greed

All with our hands raised
This show of unified force
The blurred lines are fading
As we run out this course

Should have known better
Tossing the swine all our pearls
Not quite perfect timing
In this counter-clock world
A The evil little voice still speaks… 8
B Says I can do it all alone         8
C Says I don’t need to call on God, 8
b That I can manage on my own. 8

A A twin to Job, I stumble on. 8
a The mental tools I need are gone. 8
B I cannot seem to find my way 8
b Or summon up the will to pray. 8

A I’ve lost myself along the way. 8
B I somehow didn’t read the sign. 8
a I cannot face another day 8
b With all these shackles on my mind.         8

A I need to fall on bended knee 8
a And ask the Lord to set me free - 8
B To give me back my confidence 8
b And help me climb down off this fence           8

A To help me overcome this angst 8
B And pity for the mess I’ve made. 8
C To help  me get back on my feet 8
b And get a new foundation laid. 8

The library had a poetry class one day. This was my effort.
