im a sad pathetic little girl back then.
i was lost and couldnt find my place in the world.
i was broken by the boy who wouldnt even turn his head my way.
but then you came, you filled up the empty soul that was long been suffering inside this body
you made me think twice about my life and how im living it.
i started to see colors in my dull gray life again.
you brought back the life in.
you ignited the flame that was only one breathe away from being put out.
i was the happiest girl in the world.

was.

because little did i know, you build me up just to shatter me even more.
just like how you light a birthday candle and make its flame go shine brightly just to blow it out.
you ignited the flame inside me only to put it out once you got warm.
you put colors in my life only to realize halfway that you prefer black and white after all.
so you left.

now my life is back to being black and white.
please.
come back now.

Many Things

I've been asked
did you find love?
and I say yes, I did
with the pink glow of a sunset
the smell of salt in the oceans
and the way the cold, blue water
breathes like a weeping accordion
strangely sad which strikes at the core
I found love
in the art of storytelling
in stringing words together
I can climb to a treetop
and yell on the top of my lungs
I am an architect!
I construct words to compose
the most beautiful stories
I analyze and measure,
feel the weight of it
on the tip of my tongue
I fell head over heels
for the visual arts,
for the literacy of colors,
for the symphony of form and shape
for paint to transcend
human imagination
I fell in love,
I am still in love
with chocolate and blueberries,
with pillows and books,
with laughter and road trips,
with peculiar imagination,
with many, sublime things
but mostly I fall in love
with moments and memories
I can share
with others

I'm shouting my heart out
Exposing the war within
Feelings that are converging
Goes under my nerves exploding
Destroying everything I wield
Yet no sound was heard
Only a scene of a man
Who is dying within.
Not sure about this one.

there are a million reasons why I love you
but also
no reason at all

you're so caught up
with your own problems
you forget to
count blessings instead
so get up
go out there
crawl if you must
just don't let the darkness
take the best of you
trying hard to still be optimistic

You will meet clouds of people
Who enjoy you superficially
Give you moments of forgettable memories

You will meet stars of people
Who shine bright in your life
Touch your soul
Share their sparkle
And inspire you to be more

But If you open yourself to our universe

You may even meet the moon
Who will completely
Change your outlook on life
Who will light up your soul
Share her elegance
Reflect her vision
And feed your spirit

betray the sky

i swear
i tried to catch the sun,
collided with icarus
on the way
he said, “hey,
where are you going?”
and fell
before i could tell him.

i said
“icarus,
there is a terrible
beauty to this world.“
i said
“icarus,
i want it all
to burn.”

and he burned,
crashed into the waves,
his flames flickered
and died.

i swear
i tried to catch the sun
before he did
but he stole it in his wings,
betrayed the sky
for a light
brighter than his own,
he was a shooting star
that i couldn’t swallow.

i said
“hey,
where are you going?”
he told me to make a wish
and fell.

i swear
i tried to catch the sun,
collided with him
on the way.

i said
“icarus,
my world is beautiful,
but terrible.”
i said,
“icarus,
i want it all
to burn.”

our wings melted,
and as the sky rained wax,
we burned.
