Parents teach their children to believe in God,
but not to believe in themselves,
They give their children phones,
but they don't teach them how to communicate,
They tell them to clean their room,
but not to clear their mind,
They teach them how to ride a bike,
but not how to meditate,
They get their children new videogames,
but don't teach them playing with people's feelings is not okay,
They teach them not to talk to strangers,
but not how to speak up for themselves,
They pay a tutor for their children so they can get good grades,
but when they show signs of depression they don't get them a therapist, because "you're still a kid, you don't need it, it's all in your head anyway".

And then, we wonder, why kids nowdays are so messed up.

Do your legs ever hurt
After running away
From all those who care about you?

Do your arms ever hurt
From pushing away
All those who desperately want to love you?

My name is jealousy,
I am a disease, your inner hurricane,
No matter, if you are a Buddhist, or a prelacy,
I’ll attach and make you feel insane.

I start living in your mind first,
Then I take your body, part by part,
And if you don’t **** me, it gets worse,
Lastly I attack your heart.

I drink from a fountain of self-hate,
Your insecurity is my food,
My hobby is robbing you off from faith,
I live for putting you in a bad mood.

I will make sure you always doubt,
And I’ll destroy all of your relationships,
I will be like poison in your mouth,
You’ll always taste me on your lips.

Your only cure for me is you,
You have to get that in your head,
Learn to love your imperfections,
Only then you’ll make me dead.

You pushed me away
And put your past to blame?
That is not an excuse,
For you, I’d open all of my wounds again,
Hell, I’d even take a new bruise.

I don’t want to be an eye candy,
Nor a soul food,
I want to be your meaning, your galaxy,
Something to keep you breathless for good.

I want to be something more than that,
Something to keep you up at night,
I want to be your amulet,
Your courage when you fight.

I want to be the last cigarette you smoke,
An answer to your ‘why’
I want to be your best told joke,
Your last wish before you die.

I want to be your dream,
And your nightmare all in one,
I want to be your coffee and your cream,
Your sadness and your fun.

But I already am all of that,
Darling don’t you see?
I am a whole world, your perfect habitat,
You just couldn’t handle me.

Maybe in another world,
You would really love me,
And I would break your heart.
But it doesn't matter;
We were not meant to be,
In every world we would end up apart.

Even if I don't say it out loud,
I still search for you in a crowd,
Actually, I search for you in every place.
I look for you in every face,
Hoping it is your eyes that I find,
And yet you are nowhere - but in my mind.
