Lying on the beach,
it's getting darker each time you blink.
Hear the colorful explosions up high,
the sky is in chaos, don't you think?

Forget what I told you,
leave those words to the tide.
The stars are peaking through,
my ignorance is wild and wide.

A handful of white rocks,
you smile like a maniac.
Breathing out hoaxes,
while I play piano on your back.

The fireworks stopped,
you gave me black rocks.
My blanket was made for two,
yet another startling paradox.
This is absolutely crazy. I can't believe my poem was chosen as a daily. Especially not when I know there are so many other, way more talented, poets on this site who deserve it way more than I do. But I thank you all of you, from the bottom of my heart, for reading, liking and the nice comments you leave. It means the absolute world to me! :) <3

They looked both ways and chose a road.
The done deal was made,
They took the turn that couldn’t be reversed.

Looking back, they remember the weight;
They had to deal with it, they dealt with it, their own way.
Looking back, they retrace that memory lane,
Remembering the vivid yet the blackness it had obtained.

Thinking there wasn’t something better to do,

But to try and have some fun and just forget for a few.
Not bothering to remember the problems they’d have to face tomorrow;
Though just revel within the moment feeling carefree without the cargo.

But they looked around..
That’s when they see,
That it was then, did they realize,
The nostalgic, the void, that surrounded them like

Islands at seas.

It was then, did realize they were never really complacent at all.
Nothing but an emotion, that never really lasted long.
It was only till then, did they realize, that they got lost into the unknown,
Now they can’t find their way towards the place they called home.

Through it all, the journey continues on.

These past roads have led me here, but many choices are left to make.
Choose wisely the path you take, and just save yourself from another mistake.
Whether you like it or not, you can only accept the mistakes you made
And either learn or run from them.
Though either way,

Life goes on.
You may recognize this poem, it was after all the first piece of writing I've written a few years back on my old account. I took some time off.. Off of what? I really don't know, since poetry has never really left me. Eventually, with all the turmoil inside, I turned to what I thought was best; which was to write out my soul.
Anyway, hoped you guys liked & stay tuned for what is more to follow ((:

I
won't
mourn
over
my
eventual
demise.

I
just
want
to
keep
in mind.

I
am
done
with
lies.

Walking
out
of
thin
line.

Running
out
of
time.

Seeping between the cracks of the sky,
I notice clusters of fragmented
clouds melting within the shades
of crimson
and grey,
as the darkened sun
falls towards the night.

There are no roses on a sailors grave,
No lillees on an ocean wave.
The only tributes are the seagulls sweeps,
And the tear drops that the lover weeps.

If I were the rain,
I'd be dying to touch the earth,
cascading from nimbus clouds,
desperate to quench your thirst.

Yearning to bring new life
and glistening morning dew,
to a cold and arid place
where a garden never grew.

Today the sun may shine,
tomorrow may be the same,
but somewhere on the horizon
are skies that I'll reclaim.

I'd shower you with tenderness
and promises never untrue.
If I were the rain,
I'd be falling for you.

I would have asked you to stay
But I knew you didn't want to
So I watched you go away.

*If you had asked me to stay

I would have, but you didn't
                                                                                             *
So I left, anyway.

May ravens sing to you
May they brighten Winter's dreary walks
As fallen leaves crunch beneath your feet
And the sky grows a melancholy gray
May cheerfulness run forth to greet you
With happy, outstretched arms
May no rain or darkness sadden your day
May only beauty, wishes, and dreams
Dance inside your head
Happy Birthday, Dad!

Hello Mother,
Can you hear me?
Are you there?
Its me, your son...who longs for your embrace and a kind word, as it was before, in happier times.
Tell me mother,
Does father still sit at night by the fire until the dying embers slip away?
Speak to him mother,
Explain to him that no peace or solitude can be found by staring at the cold dead granite of the hearth.
Father blames himself i know but it was my life, my duty, my choice to go.
Talk to him mother,
Remind him of his son's eternal love for you and father,
Im in a strange place, yet my fear is replaced by calmness and the knowledge that we will all again one day meet, in a place and time reserved for happiness and endless days.
A mothers love and bond cannot be broken by death or time,
I shall wait for you there where you will find me picking spring flowers by the river and i will once again hear your call.

Waiting

Maybe we're all just waiting
for the train to come into the station
for the paint to dry
for a rainfall in the desert
for him to make the first move
for tomorrow
but
sometimes the train is late
the paint gets smudged
the heat dries up every drop in the sky
he's too scared
and tomorrow never comes
