Its hard to give up
On a love
That was never yours.

Ever seen the darkness shake ?
like the serpentine spine of a blood red snake
vibrations sent to the core of your soul,
burning your mind like simmering coal,
clamber for the light in your claustrophobic space
the demons in the shadows know your face
the tears wont fall just stay in your eyes
whilst all around you everything dies
dance the macabre its the only way
whirling dervish no time to pray
the ancient rhythms too much to resist
it eats you away like a cancerous cyst.
An exploration into the dark world of depression,  something the writer is all too familiar with.
By the end of winter
hind the canopy of leaves
they build a chaotic nest.

She sits meditative
he stands watchful
and once only my eyes could intrude
four bluish white nuggets.

When in the first winds of summer
dance the mango buds
small wings would ache
not to fly beyond mother's love.

But she knows no time to waste
so they too on the next winter
gather twigs for a nest.

We are twin moons
twirling around the same world,
and shining back dazzling light
from the star we call home.
Let every pair of lovers
falling into each other through the night
look to our example;
two moons,
dancing in love.

My brothers and sisters
My family of a million
With but one name
"Ant how you doing"
"Is there and  Mr A ant here"

We all walk the walk,
We all talk the talk,
But I want to be more,
But family is everything
In our kingdom all are one.

Cant I be more than a worker
Cant I be more than a warrior
Cant I be a hippopotamus
A kangaroo,
A duckbilled platypus
Ok, ok I went a little too far.

My queen is our mother
Creator of us all,
Speaks to us in the great hall
"My children"
"You do a mother proud"
"Remember we are one"
"But we are singular to ourselves"

Mother is right I am me, not the
Same, but we are family. We are
Individuals but part of something
Bigger, I walk off happy in my hill
Knowing that I am more when I
Have my family.

"Hi Ant"
*"Right back at ya Ant-on"
To be an ant in a hill...

A mother's love is supposed to be tender and kind,
But why is yours deadly and frightening?
Don't get me wrong but that's how I feel,
Whenever I hear your steps nearing my room's door.

But let me tell you why I feel this way,
With all due respect to you,
And to whatever you have done to me,
While I have barely lived in this world.

Since I was young, you hated me so dearly.
What did I ever do so wrong?
Was it me being conceived in your womb or something more?
For you treat me just like a trash or a dog.

Fairly, whatever I do is not enough to please you.
I am worthless, pathetic, and stupid as you might utter regularly.
Some say, you aren't just expressive just like the others;
But you are actually expressive, just not in the way expected.

Some days I wonder, am I really your child?
Because I don't feel it in a way I should.
All I have is a sense of physical and emotional suicide.
Yet, constantly waiting for that day when I will be more than nothing.

Your words are as sharp as silver daggers,
Slowly killing and numbing me in this atrocious cynical world.
I usually pretend that I do not care about them but I do care.
They affect me more than they should but what can I do?

You are my dearest mother,
Supposedly someone who gave birth to me to see the world;
Yet I am entrapped by dark clouds torturing me every second,
Only laughing and seeing how I die tragically.

I wrote this letter to you not as a writing for you to change,
But something as a suicide note while I beg for euthanasia.
For I can't bear to cry all night long just for you to tell me I'm dramatic,
Instead of assuring me that everything is going to be safe and alright.

I love you but it brings me pain,
That I can't even feel that I am even your daughter,
Maybe it is actually my fault why this kills me every day,
But it's too late, for I will now say goodbye with tears forever unshed.

Whenever thinking on you, it is fair to say,
Daydreams race, they pulse, and they thrive,
For I am thinking on you, every single day,
My soul singing, soaring, feeling truly alive.
Sometimes, I visualise us hugging; kissing,
Rocking you in my arms, holding you tight,
I shed no tears for the things I am missing,
Comforted by cuddles, deep into the night.
Imagining you, gives me enormous pleasure,
Sensing how love has flourished, and grown,
You might always be, unobtainable treasure,
My constant companion, I am never alone.
Sweet dreams my Muse, love endures, tis true,
I have hope, within hope, I always have you.

I am trying to write a set of sonnets, I know, I should wait until they are completed, but could not help myself. The idea came from reading Shakespeare, especially sonnet 18 'Shall I compare thee to a summer's day' when I saw there were not many of Will's that are wholly positive. On discussing this with my writing partner, I decided to write the following verses, it may take me sometime, but anything worthwhile is never easy.

Traveler
Once a fire
Burning within
Two hearts

The consumption
Of the psyche
The ashes
Where they part

Their's was a world
Of glee and grace
Hearts that beat
At a faster pace

Even though
No heart broke
Upon white lies
Their conscience
Choked

Words that fall
From lips that tremble
The eyes of hearts
Blinded in time
We were there
So far from here
In a better
Vanished mind

We live in this world
And wake, walk, talk and take of it.
We gamble our survival by living here
And breathe and drink and eat and sleep in its shelter.
We seek ourselves and meet each other;
At other times, we thirst and hunger for a part of another's life.
We lust and crave and take pride in ourselves
While we look around for all that isn't ours.
We grab and we ******,
We demolish and destroy,
And forsake this world that sustains us.
We forgo our debts and shrug responsibility,
By walking away from what we have caused.
We leave nought but destruction in our wake
No matter where we go...

We are humans who can think.
We are beings with an intellect.
We are capable of communicating with one another...
And yet,
*We wear a mask we never take off...

Sa maraming taon na ating pagsasama
Maghihiwalay para sa panibagong gera
Bawat istorya tumatak sa utak nitong makata
Wag kayong iiyak, tayo'y muling magkikita.

Everybody gets to be a winner
The greatest lie they ever sold to my generation
No ****
Who likes to lose?
But the biggest lie is that handing trophies out to kids
Makes them entitled
Everyone wants to win, the right way.
Competition is in the soul...
You can't take that from me
Sorry to burst your bubble
but competition is our soul
It's our
inalienable right
Whether we get a trophy to mark our season of playing
Or for our esteem it does not make me who I am.
In fact me and my generation don't compete for ******* pieces of Tin or Plastic
For us it's a different plane
Next time please do not point at a trophy
And sum up my(our) whole existence
You already had your shot.
