i touched your soul
and scribbled my name on it
love, you’ll never get lost again

Becoming enough for you still isn't possible in the slightest..

Even when I'm sleeping and I'm dreaming at my wildest..

You claim to no longer have any love left to be harnessed..

Of all the pills I've swallowed, this has been one of the hardest..

nobody ever “got it”
they didn’t seem to understand
that it was never about the drugs
they saw a waste of space
a low life teen
surfing on neon hallucinations
they saw angry decisions
blackened by ash
and a years destruction of a
pill bottle’s attach
said we should have listened
harder to those programs
the cunningham family ones
they show at school
the ones that showed us
drugs were “bad”
but those **** things
failed to inform us on the “noise”
the “noise” that would soon fill
the space of every broken
dream, promise, or heart.
the “noise” that weighed
down on us kids
that didn't end once it had
hit start.
they failed to mention
the pain and the stress
they lied and never told us how
life, school, parents, everything
was forever one big unsolved mess.
like a knife it slit into our souls
bleeding tears and dignity
we leaned over bridges to try and catch
our childhood memories
but we kept bleeding
losing ourselves in a void of darkness
falling
falling
falling
deeper into a blackened abist
and so we kept falling,
trying desperately to cling on to any branch
anything.
until our shaky blue fingertips kissed
softly against an ecstasy.
a cure
and finally for the first time sense as
long as we could remember,
the noise was no more.

To the love of my life,
I carved your presence in my memories,
held you close in my desires,
kissed you in my fantasies and
made you mine in my dreams.

Please have faith in me
Because I am not strong as I think

Please have faith in me
Because I am constantly holding back tears to the brink

God, please have faith in me
Because I can't do this alone
And I don't know what to call home

It's a beautiful thing
When he begins to sing
He can have my heart
He can have anything
It's a beautiful thing
When he begins to sing
He can hold my heart
He can have all of me
This is just a piece of something I'm working on for a special person.

Love
is just a passing summer day,
euphoric
but was never meant to stay.

----

i'll hum to you
a melody
i'll sing to you
a song
that pain will cease
you will find peace
i hope you
sing along

children listen to me
poets please give ear
feel the pain
in this refrain
i hope that you will hear

there are ships
sailing the sky
don't you worry
question why
they drop stardust
where you lie
hear the
poet's lullaby

poets
keep on loving
for this is what
we do
we have dreams
we have schemes
to keep
that love renewed

poets
keep on living
be all that you can be
young or old
your tale's told
write it down
be free!

there's a ship
your muse is near
let her listen
let her hear
give your poetry
and tears
hold on to what
you hold most dear

yes, your ship is sailing
on a sea of ink
once again
you'll dip your pen
once again you'll think

but for now
you're weary
your eyes begin to close
feel the drift
into the rift
where ink

forever flows

her summery eyes

set me adrift

on hopeful waters

where i sail

under clearer skies

content in my place and time

and untroubled by a destination
