Roll with it;
make me believe
that the way you
look at me
is like you've
never loved
but in that
very moment,
and if in the morning
you pull your
skin from mine
and I never see
you again,
I can at least
have that.

I want to bury
myself under
these warm blankets,
and wrap myself in your
strong arms.
Help me forget the
rest of the world today;
I don't mind if you
steal my breath,
I'd rather you
have it anyways.

Let your lips
graze my skin,
leaving no
exposed patch
untouched.
Pepper my
broken pieces
with your perfect
bandaids and
mend the scars
I swear would
never leave.
I am utterly
convinced
you are the
antidote I
thought
I'd never
find.

Silence invades my pores,
it travels through
my shaking bones,
and cripples me
to steady leak of salty sadness.
It's my own thoughts
that wound me the greatest;
they dig and they scratch,
reminding me of the pain
I've pushed away with all my strength.
Ease comes with days
the voices promise,
but yet, the pain continues
with each pound of my heart.
You left so sudden
in the dead of the night;
with the breeze you lifted
and slipped from this life.
To understand the why
dances at the front of my mind,
encouraging me to question
the explanation I've been given.
Satisfaction and understanding
will avoid me until the end.
Until my eyes see you again,
my big brother, and my best friend.

Peel back
the layers of
insecurity
that's been
piled on
through-out
my twenty
years, and
wrap my
worried mind
with your
perfect
nothings.

We are
victims
of our own
powerful
lust;
with you
I've
experienced
everything
that
I've never
done
before,
and
yet still
I desire
to learn
even
more.

Kiss me once
upon the lips,
and speak to
me as if
my ears
are the most
important
you've ever
spoken to.
