A child wandering
a forest wilted green
disenchanted
with a heart of abandonment
where leaves covered her ears
to protect
and time froze
and her screams, muted
and the grounds were cold and hard

and what seemed as though
then, the way out

cherry blossoms
taming
the seaside April sails

Shackled within a
stressed, wood stain finish
farewell faces pressing up
against the glass
the image of a perfect family
the only good memory
that would last

Turbulent upbringings
often teach one
to write out the storm

tricky ways
she confuses
and keeps you
wandering deep

She is dark

makes you question yourself
wondering who you are

The trick is to know

through the darkest sands of time
minerals from charred bone
fill the silt, left far behind
Remnants of tarnished memories
let guilt fossilize the years
how she longs to melt those frozen crystals, back into her own tears

Cry for the freedom
that forgiveness finds
in dreams

can time stretch forever
where it feels
like an endless walk

Round and round we go
like giggling children,
heightening our
senses to new altitudes.....

Dizzy,
we gaze into
each other's eyes,
exploring the depths
of gravity's absence

Floating,
we pass the
city's evening moon
listening for the
echoing sounds of
Saturn spinning...

she says, as she rises, balancing
the sunset beneath her feet
glowing,
thrusts on to her toes
reaching up
exhaling
parting a soft curtain of cloud
climbing, to enter, to explore
a stardust gate of lights

She is pale, her eyes strain
looking back at them,
many moons ago
a simple place, a simple time
together, on fire
Just the mere glimpse of their warm memories, she becomes aware that she can withstand the cold rush of any lonely time that may come her way.
The color returns to her face as she now understands that there is so much strength in the foundations of love, she will pull through

inhale
open road horizon
breath taking
breaking her eyes in
a new day
pierces upon a sharp bed
of emerald blades
bleeding into a scorching yellow,
orange blaze
only their skies


provoking a rise

Follow me, she says
down this thrilling flight of stairs
