Do not dare allow yourself to forget
trillions of stars do dance in the sky,
life is more than a simple silhouette

Some might fall like ash from a cigarette
and Evil will have his own alibi,
do not dare allow yourself to forget

Listen! For the trees whisper not to fret-
from ruins rise new hope to sanctify,
life is more than a simple silhouette

Mountains dwell in every view and yet
birds pay no heed for they grow wings and fly,
do not dare allow yourself to forget

Rivers ebb and flow like a minuet
and salmon swim upstream against the tide,
life is more than a simple silhouette

Though darkness above might seem like a threat
shadows begone one would never know light-
do not dare allow yourself to forget
life is more than a simple silhouette.

When my proud moment isn’t on Facebook
I will hold that moment in my own two hands
touched by grace
wet with tears
giving thanks
I will feel the smooth cold glass of it
See the flash of sun sparking
new worlds in it
I will hear the harmony, and dissonance
that made it
I will smell strawberries and spring
in her hair
I will know the days and moons and moments
tears, and heart-stopping fears
of love, of trust, the holiness of her small soft hand
in mine
I will hold this moment close
longing to whoop from the treetops
wishing the world to know, this
is my proud moment—
whispering its truth
to the wind instead
It's been a good week.

you're gone and the wreckage ensues
you're gone and the heartache continues
you're gone and you're never coming back
i miss you.

because when you're dying,
your body is tired of fighting for
you,
fighting with
you.

the internal monologue is coming
to an end now
it's getting dark now
eyes closing now
mind quiet now.

still
life
no
life

broken whispers,
shivers

i have to go now

i have to go now

i have to go now

in the moment before the sun rises,
the soft, warm glow creeping onto your face,
quiet Whispers float around my ears.
Whispers of love, hate, and that which is in between.
i wonder aloud,
"are we In Between? where do we fall?"
you take my cold hands in yours, and,
bathed in the golden honey light as we are,
you tell me that we are In Between.
but, you add, you're right where you need to be.
where else would you go?
when you stop and think, where is
In Between?
there's always a high and low,
big and small,
light and dark.
no matter where you are,
you're always In Between two.
now, you Whisper as you fade away,
dream away those dreams of perfection.
I'll always be here.
first poem y'all, not that great but that's what practice is for

there is another green bird

sage whisperer

drifts by as he lands down in the shade

he does not sing

maybe he is tired of the same old melody

the intimate whispers
of a lady in red,

the slippery curls
i could never forget,

daytime spent thinking
about her scead,

at night gently sipping
her stories i’ve read,

she’s written with words,
yet, stands in my mirror,

each day i step forward,
each day i am nearer,

with silk veil
her reflection dances,

like the lightest feathers
through the air she prances,

diamond glass in hand,
she’s in my red wine,

i’m sipping on her words,
getting lost with mine,

‘i like you’
i admit,

‘the red and taste of wine’

the candles i’ve lit,

‘i like you’
i say
‘for you is the only i.’

They communicate
Just the brisk whispers
And everything aligns
After their surrender

She asked the questions
He got the answers
And, Vice Versa
Of sublime harmony
