Humans draw borders on land
As if Earth is unchanging
And our lives immortal to witness the stance
We lay claims to insignificant materials fleeting
But the world and so much more could be all yours
And all yours could remain for Earth's time
If we could only learn to fly our lands as birds do the skies
Traverse the currents as fish do waters

Because just what are you attempting to obtain
With these imaginary labels and lines invisible
Cowardly caging yourself in
From supposed evils of the world
Never to be wiped out
If you are harboring the worst of vices within

Long distance is hard
Hate sleeping alone
Awake throughout the night
Not holding your own

Overthink, toss, and turn
Tomorrow is here
How the rising sun beams
But your conscious aint clear

Cloudy and foggy
Full of emotions and memory
Missing the ones you love
Longing for their presence and energy

Expecting for the time
That you could unite
Unsettled until then
Trying so hard to fight

For that day to come
Close, in each other's arms
At last, the distance
Doesnt feel like fatal thorns

The truth is, of long distance,
Long distance is hard

Ah Yah Hubun! Yah Habibi!

Nor’ I am happiness, nor’ I am sad,

Nor’ I am life, nor’ I am death,

When you unite, You will know who I am!

I was been there’ before you were,

Only reason, I existed this long,

My soul, merged in your Love forever!

Oh my loved One! Oh my Beloved!

Allah Khair…..

Rubayiat Al Thurab (Verses of the Dust)

Unity seems so far away.
For one reason or another we choose to remain at odds with each other.
Hatred a scar that can seemingly not be healed.
A cancer with so many different causes a cure is impossible.

The race into which one is born has long been a cause for disdain.
Why can something uncontrollable cause a person so much pain?
Generations raised to bear prejudice.
To this day it is for that cause that many still die.

Next to, or rather above lies higher power.
The god or gods one worships has led to many a war.
All believing the others are wrong, none choosing the path of acceptance.
Destined for hell are we all if this pattern continues.

Ironic is hating someone because of who they choose to love.
Yet this reason for hatred is more prevalent than ever.
Even if we all loved the same way it would still be subjective.
Futile as it is, we still choose to squabble over it.

These vices keep us from harmony.
Until we can get past these, division shall persist.

To the racial remarks: we're all one race - the human race. To the discriminant: don't live the lie that you're superior - we're all just human beings. To the stereotypes: silly sayings don't define someone, not even in the slightest. To supporters: seek light and see if what spurs you is worthy or even righteous. To those in denial: Wake up and seek wisdom - may your ignorance wear off. To the independent: families broken are dependents isolated - individuals internally lost. To the prosecutor: if you were victimized, how would you feel? To the victims: voice yourselves - your vulnerability can be used as a virtue. To the impacted parents and children: continue to climb this mountain, and maybe America will consider your cries. To the next generation: sorry my generation, in many ways, has already failed you... To the next generation: do better than us, and by doing so, you'll prevail too...

we don’t fit into each others shoes
but we walked down the path of many hues

different kind of blues

and we found we don’t need to fit inside
we just have to walk, side by side.

There are those who wear masks to hide,
Those who wear masks to show us what they stand for,
to inspire,
to unite,
to define,
to strike fear,
There are those who wear masks to protect themselves.
And there are those who wear masks to protect us all.
Which mask you wear?

We will always come together,
We will always stand and fight.
You can never take our spirit,
You do not have the right.
The more you knock us down,
The more we come back fighting.
The more you try to divide us,
The more we are uniting.

Hate Will Never Win.

attach wings to the backs
of me and my brethren
instead of whipping truth
from the cracks of our temple.
the preachings from the center
are supposed to release us
but stakes in our chains
run too deeply . . .

and, here I sit,
locked up in captivity
the prison of my self
it was the truth that kept me down . . .
it is the truth that sets me free . . .

and freedom is key . . .

Write what I remember
Remember why I'm writing
Light what I remember
Remember what needs lighting
Fight what I remember
Remember why I'm fighting
Unite what I remember
Remember what needs uniting
Though I have my doubts about my work, I always remember why I chose to do what I do. And it's not just from me, but from my close family, blood or not.
And you guys here on the HP platform.
Really, I can't thank you guys enough.
I'll remember why I write. I'll remember what to light. I'll remember why I fight. I'll remember to unite.
Thank you all. God bless!
