I take all these tests
all over the internet

they come back
all the same

they come back

I don't need the tests
I live it

Because they always come back
I had an official diagnosis, but I didn't go to get therapy. I don't have the time or energy or money to get it. And I don't want to make my family worry.

There are questions I don't know
on an exam I studied for
the teacher told me,
When in doubt, go with C
but I see no way out
from the nightmare I'm dreaming
until, I wake up in fright
because I failed a test
for a class I never had

There are many ways
One can become a zombie
There's viruses, being bitten
And then there's taking the PSAT

I said hello,
He said goodbye,
For there's tomorrow,
Unless I somehow die;

Don't forget me,
Never let me go,
This is our little infinity,
Our happily ever after you know;

Time is of the essence,
So chase after all your passion,
Always go the distance,
Even if it tests your patience.

Life
Is bad
It throws
Many worse situations
In whatever path we take

Sometimes
We feel
So weak, powerless
Fragile, exhausted, spent, hesitant
In front of those situations

But
The only
Intention of them
Is to make you
Stronger, wiser, mightier and better

It
Is your
Test of life
We all have to
Go through and top them

So
Stand up
No matter how
Or why you fall
Fight and become better you

And
One day
Life will lose
Seeing your brave heart
Bowing in front of you

She finishes writing the test
Thankful her anxious brain can rest

But the test isn't actually done,
As students discuss the answers to number one.

They compare solutions,
go over the questions they found tough,
The girl wishes she could plug her ears,
But the students haven't had enough.

As they talk they realize they got some wrong,
But take it lightly in stride,
They do not know that if the girl joined in,
it'd crush her soul and pride.

Because it starts the criticism rolling,
Bashes her left and right,
"How could you get such an easy question wrong?
You're anything but bright"

"Try harder next time,
come on, I'm sure you can do better.
You need to do well, idiot,
A is the golden letter"

Others wonder why she doesn't join in
On the post-test debates,
If only they knew the anxiety and sadness it brought her,
Her mind, how it self-berates.

The girl is working to quiet the noise,
To silence the negative notions,
But until then don't discuss too much in her presence,
Step by step, she's setting positivity in motion.

When I am all so alone
Alienated in this cruel world
And I am unable to withstand its tests,
I'm fretting my nightmares
For they scare me to hell of sorts
And I am unable to find quantum of solace,
I fear that I will die in the cradle of loneliness...

A life is a stepping stone of regrets.
If you keep looking at it wrong.
Premature hindsight.
Never knowing how these stones will change us.
For the better, if you let it.

I'm still learning.

So just don't give up on me yet.
Even if I'm one of your regrets.
Or we're yet to meet.
I'll be one of your tests.

I'm Sorry.
