If I could talk not
I would never, forever.

Silently thrilled
by the voiceless unwords within

If I could talk not, forever.

If I could talk not
I would never, forever.

Thinking the doing
creating the world end and begin

If I could talk not, forever.

My hands have betrayed me.
Once the means to write pages,
Now my hands are only dead weight.

My hands won't pick up a pen.
Or even type short,
Choppy sentences.

They dangle at my sides
And find refuge in my hair,
Leaving me bleeding.

Like my hands,
My mouth has declared itself
My enemy.

Once the passageway for words
To explain myself,
My mouth is now as useful as a broken bridge.

With nothing of value to say,
It talks
And sings anyway.

It opens without my permission
But stays closed whenever I try
To scream meaning.

The inability to illustrate
Or translate my mind
And my soul
Is not an unfamiliar ordeal.

But it's lonely on the outside
And frustrating looking in.
It seems I'll always feel like an alien.

ten word poem #1
Kelly Weaver May 2016
The ideal beauty
Do we not have guidelines?
Different strokes for different folks
They appear to be well made
Built upons a solid foundation
In a world where everything done is judged
All relatively similar
All completely different
Admired from a distance
Please do not touch the art!
Violations and fees
Are we not beings?
So beautifully made
All works of art
Different definitions of such
Are they real?
Are we?
Some well recognized
Others independent
All beautiful regardless
Their eyes peer into our souls
“Why are they looking at us like that?”
Quoth the painting.
Who are you speaking of?

Hey bro, check out those chicks let's go hit'em up.
Uhhh....
Hey don't do it you already told yourself you have standards
look at them that's not you, we know what you want.

But if I don't they'll think I'm a flake and I don't wanna deal with that remember what happened last time.
Now I know you had some trouble with friends but seriously
you're worried about them they don't care about you and you know it.
Yo, bruh you coming or not I see one looking at you.
Here's your chance show them you're better than that
they need to understand who you are they can't control you show'em
who you are.**
Umm... No I'm good that's for you guys go enjoy see you guys later.
The sequel to my first one comment on this if you liked it or what I could improve or change.
Thank You.

Hello, you.
I won't bid adieu,
till we finish these few
stanza's.

You came looking again.
am I right?
You just can't tame
those feelings, thinking-Poetry
will make'em behave- quite.

Well. We're both at a loss.
My own pen resists writing
icy words. Frost.
Bitten sentences need warm eyes
to thaw out.

Tell you what, lets
work. together.
I'll write something, anything which'll
forever, stay.
You just have to promise to remember it
and not twist it.

I'm not sure if our talk
was lengthy enough or indepth.
You'll just have to accept.
This; Metaphorical-Physical-Emotional-Mental
discussion has ended.

What we may of, or may not of, agreed upon.
Shall come true.
Now
adieu.
Lets talk.

Here I am, waiting for you,
patiently, just so I can talk.
I hope I can trust you too.

Waiting under the sky’s red hue,
Here I am on top of this rock.
Here I am, waiting for you.

Because of the cold, I can see the dew
Forming on top of a flower near a tiny shamrock.
I hope I can trust you too.

I hope that you are not coming to bid adieu
as I sit here and check this clock.
Here I am, waiting for you.

The amount that I talk to you is unfortunately few,
but my secrets I wish for you to unlock.
I hope I can trust you too.

I see you coming all dressed in blue,
prepared to talk and never to mock.
Here I am, waiting for you.
I hope I can trust you too.
This is my attempt at a villanelle.
