You can not break
What's already been broken
You can not recall
What's never been spoken
You can not run
When the spirits been stolen
Is there no hope left
To put any hope in?

I witness the cruelty
I feel the beauty
what hurts me is
I'll never know
if you see it too
I hope you understand
how much I miss you
a life stolen from us
by the everyday events
that separate the way
we want to go
it feels as though we steal
the daylight we share sometimes
an almost guilty pleasure
not something we should
have a right to
Odd Odyssey Poet Oct 2023
Call you as a day,
The sun moves so far away
But your smile,
Invades through the clouds
Your ray of light;
So beautiful- it feels criminal
I guess you stole my heart
I hope the poetry doesn't go stale
When I one day fall in love
Putting my heart on sale,
Don't buy into me being this creative,
When I'm lost for words, lost in love

through tsunami waves
like fortresses
pounding with such force and restlessness
lay a hand upon this chasm
fissures along this human body.
blinked two times;
a signal for help.
you, an undercover perpetrator, spilt this ****** blood
there’s no rhyme or reason
for the capture of such purity.
the eagerness of the flesh
descending upon uneasiness.
one heart unmoored
one mourned
two hearts unbreakable
by a force of nature
so undeniable,
death is willing to submit to its feet.
yeah…i haven’t written in a while. i just haven’t been inspired. this is about innocence and the destruction of it. also about the human experience, doing things we do not want to, but others plead us to. and…the things we don’t do do not define us. the definition of things have changed.

If I could just love you as much as you loved me on days that i didn’t react to you,
I would hate myself- just a smidge less…
I would forgive myself for how I no longer get butterflies when I hold your hand,
Yet I can hear your butterflies flutter just as they did when we had our first kiss…
Just a few of the moments I’ve stolen from us,
All because I can’t seem to get over the things that have been stolen from me…
Currently going to a wave of depression and I feel as if im stealing the moments Im meant to share with my girlfriend because i cant get out if this wave.

They will steal your light
And then ask why you have become so dark
Nigdaw Jan 2023
the sky is being stolen
so that so much human soup
can high rise
to live above one another
a hierarchy to whisper
in God's ear

sunlight fills the cracks
illuminated grouting

I see clouds skitter by
I'm a prisoner
jealous of their freedom
wishing I could fly
Sarah Dec 2021
It's like we’re playing chess.
Moving strategically, testing boundaries,
all while watching each other’s expression.

We all know how this games ends…
The queen destroys you and steals your heart.

Beyond sacred geometry,
Hides a dark secret.

A secret of stolen symbols,
And stolen concepts.
