I had my own dreams and goals before I met you.
I am going to find those again.

Driving down a a road highlighted in wildflowers and the sun shining bright ahead of me I take a moment to reflect.
I see the dark clouds in my rear view mirror and I scream --
Here's to new beginnings!

I can see how close my future is.
I can feel it on the tip of my tongue when I start singing the songs that remind me of last summer.
I can feel it in every sip of fresh water and every time I jump into lakes with my friends.
I can feel it when I smile with real passion behind it and every time I say "I'm trying" and actually mean it.
I can feel it as I watch the memories of you and every other person who hurt me burn in fire.

I had my own dreams and goals before I met you.
I regret nothing but it's time to lock those doors and lose the keys for good.

I take a long drive, music up and I scream as loud as I can--

When its necessary.
You take me out , you make me feel alive..

Looking up , you better find the Eden,
lies are told when you receive them,
life is short and they reduce it,
almost coming closer towards the end,
this the world we've been portrayed,
putting up walls like when the sun goes down
and when in doubt you feel you should've stayed,
but this is now,
and you must love,
and you must hate,
and you must gossip,
And ridicule the people that would die for you,
never snitch on you , they'll lie for you,
in a land without freedom,
In God we trust like the back of our hand,
the strong spoke for the soft spoken,
too scared to reach and just take a stand,
old familiar sting,
they forget your name.
letting heads ring,
they don't say a thing.

Love is when you understand
that she doesn't understand
everything you assume she understands.

But love fails
when you feel
that she won't understand
and decide not to make her understand
because she for sure understands that
and choose to overlook it as a misunderstanding.

We talked for awhile and it wasn't enough , We loved for awhile and it wasn't
enough...
And i just wanted to see you...
We said a few words in a matter of four,i want just you to show me
that i'm good enough...
And i just wanted to love you...

The right words that you needed to hear in a certain quest just to find
your prince charming.
You needed a shoulder to cry on in the mean time when he didn't treat you
right, in this feeling.
I use to say to myself,what was i doing wrong in the times of pursuing
you.
plotting ahead , waiting on you to quit him in this life so he could stop hurting
you, but i remember when,
