A tale full of mystery
Only half told-
Lights a slight curiosity
In the heart of the soul

Though dim surrounded by beams of  expectations
It speaks wonders in such few words-
And while seemingly harmless
Grows brighter along with its allure

A light almost unseen
Enough to keep any heart warm,
Cures the darkness of the night
With its illicit charm

Created by the mood of one's thoughts and actions
It varies in size and saturation -
And depending on the person, it will shine
Drawing other lights in with time

It lives within the soul
And seeing it may be strenuous
But everyone has it
And with time, they realize they too are luminous
This one was kind of a wild card for me....it could've gone a myriad of ways, but this one was best fit for the person it was written for. Very analytical towards everyone else, but they are ignorant when it comes to knowing them self.

I am here. Whilst you're laughing in your ferris wheel of glamour and glittering lights
Laughter so loud, you brandish names from your garish encrusted adverts. Notice me

In the midst of the battlefields of gargoyles, trolls, copycat thieves and twitter fights
People call you vile names and comment on your growth I was always there. I am here

When you're out dancing with boys sunbathing on yachts and take private cars and flights
As you work your way through a list of names of temporary love affairs. Notice me

Though your follower and disciple count multiplies to great saturated heights
They want details and secrets, they want your undivided attention. I am here.

We didn't create this hateful game just
Notice me! I like everything you do

You can't tell who's real, who you love or trust
Which will expose you and watch? I am here

I exist
Acknowledge me
Getting off the train in East Croydon there's this huge sign that say I am here and the arrow is lit up, I've not written a poem from scratch for a few years so this is probably a bit of a lazy step back in

Sanctuary found
Support and recognition
Second family
I have been encouraged and appreciated more by these people than I have ever been by my own family. I love every one of my Roadhouse family members from Trisha the owner to Josh the maintenance guy and even all the foreigners and other workers who didn't make it to the end of the season and I am so grateful for the overwhelming love I receive there every single day.

Day 4 of the 30 day poetry challenge (because I was a day behind) write a haiku

Now I am caught up once again

The hope, that I am hoping is so unclear
The mirage that I am seeing is not here.

This is a hope or this is a mirage,  I can not recognise
Hope is nothing as it seems, Is this all are lies?

But hopes are unbreakable!
Hopes are just unbreakable!
Do you afraid of hoping? Very rarely hope comes true so what one goes another comes and it is not necessary that every time you have to be disappointed. This time you won't be disappointed just hope!

I'll never be recognized
For who I want to be
No one will care about me
For the things I see
The beauty in my words
No one really cares
None of my efforts
Really compare
Why can't I just be... What everybody wants?

I ask her how do I recognize her beauty?

Do I stare until you see me and then look away?

Do I stare until you see me and never look away?

Your flows and grace catch my eye from far away.

I carefully inspect your curves until your gone.

Should I not look your way?  It would be easier for me.

I ask her how should I recognize her beauty.

She says, A simple smile will do.

Recognition sparks
Sly and toothy grin crawls upwards
Snaking across stubbled cheeks
Mouth ready to sink into soft flesh
I've tasted this venom before
Reminded of the paralysis
That always strikes
In hotel bathrooms
Why are my puncture wounds
More shameful
Than your sharpened teeth?
unburdened by knowledge
or traditions of polite civility
some powermongers
     brazenly
demand attention of the media
force their way onto title pages
assuming that bland lies
     combined with contradictions
     and outrageous stupidities
     mostly echoing sycophantic TV news
will satisfy their followers
ensure their loyalty
and even guarantee
their reelection into higher office

     there is a tendency
     to underestimate ‘the people’

they usually take their time to watch
and talk  and reconsider
     after all
     one does not lightly
     throw away the expectations
one has projected onto the preferred

then comes the point
when ruthless ignorance
      and greed for power
become too obvious
      too much

people no longer do approve

the powermonger tumbles from his throne
his reign remembered as a somber blob
in people’s history
This is a bit of wishful thinking, but who knows ....
