Set ease in soul
and rest your mind
Take time to listen
Take time in time

Risk for achievement
set worries aside
Failures false
Just expectation lost

Learn to ride the waves
No matter how high the tide

For if the worst becomes us
Or threats or harms us
At least you we're embracing your dream of life

Come out of comfort
with faith it will all work

Treat yourself with kindness
Welcome challenge to create change and
  really try this!

In practice we learn
In passion we burn

The clock still ticks
You still exist
Now go succeed
Feel greatful to breathe!

You possess the gift life
And the birth given right

To truly and absolutely be
Completely

Happy:)

A few words need to be said about the level playing field
and the relative benefits to those concerned it does yield.
If those who are in authority are not impartial in their ways
the effect of this is reflected back to all no matter who plays.

There are however some exceptions to the rule
regardless of what we have all learnt at school.
Whether it be sport, business, industry, research or education
the level playing field applies to each and every situation.

When certain people are prejudiced towards one person or group
and show too much favor for one party then the other they’ll dupe.
This practice is known to be a form of much corruption and deceit
and should be recognized by all those who’re in the grip of receipt.

Do, re, tiring **me.
Fa, So, Latte sounds good.
A sale on tea?
Do ti la "So, how are your scales going?"
My teacher calls; he wants to know.

"FAr from REady." I admit.
I tried to practice steady,
but starbucks had a sale today, so I quit.

"You'll never make the grade like that;
Devote every hour" He says with a glower.
"Go practice your bow. Coffee can wait."
He's right of course, but I still take the bait.

How's a coffee-enthusiast like me
expected to practice enthusiastically?
What's a violinist without caffeine to keep his lights turned to "go"?
When Starbucks conspires to take all my hard earned DOugh?
The struggle, man.
Many are called to it-
a craft, an art, a way of life,
but very few are chosen by it.
Should ye prove thyself worthy,
it will take you into consideration:
it's called a discipline for a reason.
Get to know it.
Suffer for it.
Impress it.

Loyal disciples tend to gain blessings.
Inspired by the saying
"many are called but few are chosen."

another morning
when you search
later when things fall
they always will
stretch out to
each day, a phenomenon  of
order and disorder but no,
what’s between?
bodies, fall the same way
each time
eyelashes too on the same place,
same spot on the face
feeding into it when that’s what
it wants what it wants is
for eyelashes to
keeping fall and wishes run thinning
since wishes unwork and unwind
and the same lashes
the same wishes
but chaos theory
avoids time
structure, we preside in
P.M.and A.M.
wall to wall
skin and soot on bottom’s heels and ears
and bodies, all the same,
aren’t they?
structure is
unavoidable
chaos theory is without
option
struvture without option
without sound but loud in consequence
its the same
for those like us
burying eyelashed face in
numbers and now-- words
always buried beneath something,
layers of clothing
or layers of pillows
across the belly
until straight enough to sit without
rolls
but rolls of breads, succulent and sweet
and rolls like child’s somersaults
and roles that you play for everyone
and yourself
when layers collapsed within
the walls of intestines
which erode
and the role is you
standing without
rolls and without much else, either
and skin cannot renew
skin cannot replace
you can try for ceramic skin
but thin is breakable,
cracking the hull
of the *****’s boat, the same
***** bandaging what you want to wound
its structure for bodies
you and you and
the best friend you ever had
with freckles you cannot count
and a gummy smile,
structured the same and
what language do you speak in?
because
              wrapping
your tongue       around
organs isn’t the same
speech
but the spaces between teeth is not enough
to contain what’s oozing in
the edge of a back,
the corner of a ankle’s ***
whatever it is,
is structured

"Learn to write by doing it.
Read widely and wisely.
Increase your word power.
Find your own individual voice
through practicing constantly.
Go through the world with your
eyes and ears open and learn to
express that experience in words."

PD James (1920-2014)

I took a little trip
To the Isle of Write
There to find
My muse
My light...

I went to a wise man
On a Himalayan hill
For to find
A poem to quill...

I went right
I went left
But the write
Was still bereft...

I went here
I went there
Couldn't find help
Anywhere...

So I sat down
Pen in hand
And thought about
Those foreign lands.

To describe them
I painted with ink
It was hard
But made me think...

Hardly did a day go by
When in frustration
I did not cry...

But at last
The words took flight
I told tales
Of sadness. Fright...

The pen took on
A life of its own
The lines like scalpels
To the bone...

No more struggle
No more strain
I had the write stuff
In my brain...

Now the page
And pen don't thwart...

... the poetry is in my heart!
I consider PD James to be
one of the greatest writers
of her genre. She wrote
Mystery novels. Her character
Commander Adam Dalgliesh
was also a poet. A few of her
books have "his" poems in them.
She could have been a great poet.
Sadly she died November 27, 2014.
She was 94.

The Isle of Wight is on the
coast of England
We are mortal.
Therefore is it a Sin
to limit One's self
(moreover, others!)
based on mere social or ideological climates.

The purpose of this Life
is to realize One's potential.
What that is, however,
must be discovered first-hand.

Yes,
that is to say
One finds One's very own self
burdened with the miraculous gift and curse
of responsibility
to dream, wish, hope, manifest, and work to create
One's own Destiny
One's own Path
One's own Self.

Nary a coward be!
Express thy true Self always,
even if not directly.

Compromise nary a thing
found within thy Self.
It serves a purpose, as does everything.
It plays a role.
It is necessary
for thy journey to come to fruition.
That is to say
it is up to thee
to decide and create
thy own destiny. Fate.

That is, however, not to say
"compromise not with it,"
For that is healthy-
I dare say necessary.

Rather,
It is only to say
"be You,"
now
and always,
while You still can.

"Be yourself; everyone else is taken,"
or, so said Oscar Wilde.
One may venture yet further:
"many of them are overrated.
Do not underrate yourself."

Gain.
Grow.
Teach.
Indeed an ambitious title, but I deemed it appropriate.
I love creative control!

oh god, what have i gone and done this time.
i walk along the boulevard alone,
a cigarette is tucked behind my ear.
I want to say i hate your dress, except
you feel the same about this tie of mine.
laugh quietly and well, and smile often.
keep secrets close, but try to not tell lies.
You look at me, your looking turns me on.
Inhale, exhale, breathe deep and do not stop.
Nothing you do, or say, can stop this pain.
Drink deep, sing gaudeamus igitur.
An electrical shock illuminates.
Short, long, and meter can make all the words.
Do not forget to tie your shoes today.
