people won't understand how much you mean to me,
they won't be able to comprehend why i love you this much,
they wouldn't be able to push through behind their common perception of someone like you,
that you're nothing but a mere house pet.

to me, you're my family.
to me, you're my safe place.
to me, you're the one who takes all the pain away.
you're my baby and i'd do anything for you.

please don't leave me too soon.
i have so many things planned for the both of us.
we're still going to have a blast on your first birthday, right?
so hold on, please hold on for a very long time, my dear tootsie.

i know this is too much to ask, probably way too selfish of me to ask.
but, i hope i'm enough reason for you to stick around.
i'm not the best fur parent but, do know i try my hardest.
i have one thing to ask of you, try your hardest to stay alive and breathing.

I wasn't going to buy another dog because it hurts too much when they die.
But I decided to buy another dog and she is my Sweetie Pie.
When it comes to the heart, losing a pet sure will break it.
When it came to my former dog's death, it was hard to take it.
But several weeks later, I ended up being in luck.
I bought another dog for only two hundred bucks.
Hazel looks similar to my old dog and I sure am a lucky guy.
My former dog was my Baby Doll and Hazel is my Sweetie Pie.

Little dog running hard
toward the parked cars
looking and sniffing
then rushes to the next one
panting
eyes filled with anxiety
seeking the owner who abandoned it
big round eyes all teary
it must be thinking sadly
"if i get to become a human in the next life
i will do anything to be kind
adopt a cute puppy
and stay with it
until the end of time."

When dinner is ready I can hear him walking
If I get a plate he’ll come after me, stalking
Enters the room, then stares and sniffs
Bit on some clothing he knows isn’t his
But still I will miss you when I get home
Or if you’ve been good boy, there won’t be a bone
Cause the room will be empty just like your dog bed
And I hope that you know that you were the best pet

i said,
i am always a dog person
until i got a cat

watching her sleep
so peacefully
she takes a nap
perhaps dreams a daydream with me
she stares at the window
the outside world seems fun and thrill
she looks at the screen
the keyboard’s sound just like her toys
eat, play, sleep
so simple, so easy

oh maybe I should be a cat
life should be easy
maybe that’s why i am jealous of a kitty
