on our respective doorsteps    
we're prisoners

to the disease's will
none of us can escape

restricted
our movement can't be
at fullest liberty  
the feeling of being
well hemmed in
stays constantly
on our minds
and we're all screaming

release
the holding power
of its infection
won't let go
and the torture
never
diminishes

We deserve
the right words to hear,
the just people to listen,
the best education to learn,
the best medical help,
and the right people to treat us RIGHT.

WE DESERVE OUR RIGHTS.

Don't look
at
our
eyes,
nose,
mouth,
color,
gender,
piercings,
tattoos,
hobbies,
favorite band.
Just give us our ******* rights.

Stolen from the light,
Trapped among the night,
Everything's flight or fight,
