Scrupulous Empowerment
Endowed upon our Government
A System that us Citizens
Employ without much Dissonance

Listening without Learning
Driving but not Driven
Waiting to be Waistless
Adoring the Adornments

And being nothing more than that.

In a lost dream, where we met
without names nor faces to remember
Upon the sky of the bleak November,
He once sang a string of woe;
dedicated to the sisters and brothers lost
In the letters of life and death

In a lost dream,
he once incinerated hope
And in a lost dream,
he burnt all the upside-down
lifelong scripts
Of terrors and fears commanded him,
of humble requests and humble oppression
To demolish the dreamland he has built
upon broken wishes and poisoned passion

“I will be here,”
Refused he
“In a lost dream where I used to dance.”

The words you produce are poison
The type that spreads fear
It's an echo of oppression
That mutters close to ear
You think it's just for fun
Just a quick win
For you it's a passing comment
But for me it's embedded in my skin
'They're just words' you say,
You're a freak, man, ****,
'Remember what you're worth'
That's what it really like,
You don't think before you say
Whenever you speak these slurs
You perpetuate the hate
Masking me in caricatures
So next time you begin to say,
Those little words to me
Please check your ego,
And ******* let me be.

Drazen days abrasing me
to launch myself into delinquency.
The selfish truths we plead
and cry no heed,
to those who beg for our attentions.
The masses play to the puppeteers whims.
They dance this way, they spin that way.
They fall and rise and stumble through the lies.
The whole while everyone laughing inside.....
Believing themselves to be superior.
What foolish games we live by here.
The present now has lost sight of it all,
their "souls" are lost,
and wandering farther from whats real.
I am alone here in this place.
The place they carelessly erase.
Where shall I go when all is gone?
No where to be, no more song.
I seem to be the only one with resistance....
I am trapped and can't find the distance....
To place between myself and their existence.

Ever been in a public place and look around and see people going about their daily lives.  Like if they are in some perfectly normal world where everything is the way it should be.  Like there's no hunger and starving and war and dis pare.  Like they are better then everyone else and deserve whatever wealth they have.  Society doesn't care what its doing to our planet or our species.  People just allow it to happen and go along with it and do what they think their "Betters" tell them to.  I can not get my head around the sheep mentality that our society has.  How the people of our nation flock and follow without question.  Is there nothing inside that tells them this is wrong!

When you know who you are and find out who you are not, how can you bother sleeping at night? When it holds us down and it’s done dreaming of the enslavement of billions because it has come to life inside our minds. The days’ endings are coming and seem worse with each passing slide of childhood memories and tearful age. Who you know is so tired. Each and every of the billions’ voices is stifled.

“I know my heart and I love my family. They give me joy though I watch them suffer every day. Of racial profiling, religious hate and sexism. I pray the young will be spared my fate. So I pretend not to see and enjoy all my moments with them because all I can clutch, keep my control of is now, is this very moment. Now is all I can see. No influence on my future comes from me.”

I wrote this because I felt very oppressed for being a woman at work, forced to only do certain tasks merely based on my gender, and then I realised what my black colleague who is a mother is experiencing.

A thousand faces swirled around me
Clamoring that my life be burned
Unable to make out the faces
Covered by the same veil found in the store
I hope that these men see my face
The horror that glows from my eyes
As if I died staring at the moon
Right now I hold the very oak
In which I locked eyes with her for the very first time
Memories of that first time rush through my mind
As the rope tightens around my neck, arms, and legs
Then I smell the fire from under me
I feel the heat on my soles
My feet start to sweat
The men throw their hats
They finally win
Like the town they pulled me from
I m also to go out as smoke and ash
The men laugh
They talk about a new world
One in which they rule
Was it about politics
Or as it about race
It doesn't matter now
My body now black from the flames
And me with no legacy to live on
This is a poem in the point of view of someone about to be burned during an age of oppression.

I wish I could tell you otherwise
But I'm going down
And the concrete has no competition
When it comes to the oppression
Pushing me down
Soon I'll be past the grass, and the dirt
And the roots
Maybe I'll stop in the center of the Earth
Where the heat is scorching
To the point where my skin and bones
Will shrivel,
Putting an end to the force holding me down
Or maybe I'll pass right by the center
And continue to make my way through the Earth
And popping out of the other end
Floating through the lonely universe

No Justice, No Peace
If we can't get it from the Court
then we'll take it from the Streets
No Justice, No Peace
**** the Police
and what you believe!

Whatever happened to Revolution
Being the American way?
When your voice remains unheard
For which you suffer every day,
Your life is constantly stepped on,
Your rights keep getting taken away,
And in spite of the lies they spin to protect your oppressors,
You still keep the rage at bay
Because you are not
Above the Law
and neither is anyone else.
So taking matters into your own hands
Isn't going to help.
You entrust the justice system
to do what it's supposed to
Even though you know it never has
and is probably never going to.
But if you haven't done anything wrong and the Law doesn't serve you,
and only seems to defend the people who've already hurt you,
then honestly I think it's insane and completely absurd to
not only expect the People not to react,
but to honor a *curfew
.

*******
Do you hear us yet?
*******
Oh, it's inappropriate?
You don't wanna talk about it?
You don't wanna think about it?
You don't wanna deal with it?
Well guess what?
Nobody ******* does, nobody ******* would, nobody ever ******* could.
But for the people who don't look like you -
Aryan Beauty Standards
Hair of Gold, Eyes of Blue
Fair-skinned, light-skinned
European skeleton,
It was never a choice they had.

Oppression doesn't pick you
Based on qualifications
Any more than Privilege does,
If you think this case
Is not about race
You better check your Privilege, cuz.

I love my home, America
But I hate what it's become
Land of the greedy, home of the afraid
Kingdom of the Loud and Dumb
****-shaming, victim-blaming, race-hating, race-baiting
Sensationalization of the worst crimes in the nation
Religious intolerance, homophobic misogyny, blatant racial discrimination
Can't get with it, can't hang
At least not in the lynch mob sense
I am blown the **** away
at the grievous absence of common sense.

So when they lit those flags on fire
in the center of the town
I understand, and I can't blame them
the flag is truer up in flames now
And if they so decide to burn
the city to the ground,
I understand, and I can't blame them
I would wanna burn it down
