Is it true that opposites attract?
She liked fantasy, he liked fact,
She liked green beans, he liked peas,
She liked chicken, he liked cheese,
She liked champagne, he liked port,
She liked lazy, he liked sport.
She liked new cars, he liked wrecks,
She liked cuddling, he liked ***,
She liked cookies, he liked cake,
She liked real and he liked fake.
She liked daytime, he liked night,
She liked to make up, he liked to fight.
She liked sweaters, he liked coats,
She liked airplanes, he liked boats,
She liked poetry, he liked prose,
She liked tulips, but he gave her a rose.
She said, “Stay.”, and he said, “Go.”
He proposed and she said, “NO!"
He left with dignity still in tact -
So much for opposites attract!

You say yes,
I say no.
Neither one knows what they want.
We struggle,
And we dance.
Around each other's word of thought.
Let the minds react,
And our intelligence pour.
We both want each other,
But end up wanting something more.
So what will you do?
When the world comes crashing on you.
Will you disappear into the night?
Or the face the worlds undying fight.
Be strong and steady,
As the day renews.
Or fall broken and despaired,
Washed out fully used.

In every "opposite's attract" relationship, they say she's the yin to his yan,

He's mysterious and calm like the moon and she's electric and energetic like the sun.

But I'm a painter and I see ourselves as different colors and hues instead of objects and symbols.

You're a midnight blue; a serious yet earnest lover who parades in a facade of blankness.
.
Slowly and gently, I've peeled away the mask you wear, to reveal a sweet, loving boy I always knew was inside.

I am a vibrant yellow; playful and sweet,  illuminating the darkness in your life.

I've shine a light to your darkest corners and found the boy you hide away. I've reached out and pulled him up, showing him that he no longer needs to hide.

With taking my hand you've shown me, the trust and understanding I need, guiding me through my darkness.

Together, with your strength and my kindness, we made emeralds, raditating the world around us.

Together , with your seriousness and my sillyness, we grown shamrock, making us feel like the luckiest kids around.

Together, with you and me, we've created a forest filled with green apples, pines, olives and limes, making us feel like anything is possible.

These are the shades of you and me.

a line divides us
on one side stands
       stacked all steadily
the things to which
    I hold close to heart
morals
ideals
promises
                     to myself
       to others

and I can see you
watching me across the way
a mess around your feet
and fire
           climbing to the sky
heat embracing you
just as you like it

chaos                  calm
             to       my

sometimes
opposites don’t attract
sometimes they explode

I won’t ask you to freeze in my arms
and you know I’ll never melt in yours

a line divides us
           so little
                    so long
Tempest of feelings rage
Of black and white
Of up and down
Of yin and yang
Of this and that

Polar upon reckoning
Of words with and without frolic
           I love you
                I love you not
                   Of yes and no

I am akin to Nick Carraway
Of being within and without
Having feelings like these
Ravage me
I am complete
and I am not

Somehow
Vague as a disguise
Of a shadow in the morning sun
Of people and other people
You and Me

Love is pure,
Love is sweet.
Love is light
Love is a treat.

The dark and the light.
Opposites interwine.
For you and I
Have reminisced our dark times.

Love is eternal,
Love is bliss
I cant wait
For our first kiss.

Sweet like a rose
Handsome as a dove
Ugly or pretty
Your mine, to love.
Yay! My boyfriend and I are pretty much opposites but the exact same, so I made this for him, he said it was good!

The thundering in my heart is a response to your pouty clouds, and I still
wonder why no one bothered to discover the lands beneath it to this day. Under
those dark skies the town is alive and blue, blue, blue is all I see.
You are blue, yet red, yet love, yet pain. I sing to the music from your
soul and I dance to the light in your eyes. You're a melancholy soul glittered
with invincible warriors and I am just a flower in your garden. People step
on me and I still pray you will notice more than the bent petals or the crack in
my stem. I am so much more with this pounding in my heart and
the purple rain feeding my lips. I have always felt cheated until my eyes
landed on you, and I knew - I knew you were what I was willing to take this for.
But you don't like petaled people or thundering hearts and I know that.
You like dark rooms and moon kissed nights, and I feed off of the sun's kisses.
You like black holes and the idea of an abyss, and I like skin on skin. I like being
the loser in this, with rain splattered homework and puddle filled shoes. But you like
umbrellas and indoor rooms. We can try to use umbrellas and dance in the rain,
we can keep the homework in the house while we go insane.
But roses are red, and violets are blue.
To you, roses are black, and violets are black.
I will show you the colors to these flowers, because it will lead you to the
color of my soul too.

The heat your cold body brought mine made my insanity run off and hide. to watch your body sway under to hot lights in the gloomy night. oh you painted my being with love. i like to think your brown eyes were mesmerized by my blue ones. the memories of your blonde hair spread out on the pavement sting in my mind. you smelled of daisies. my cigaret buds contrasted against the grass in your backyard. i knew we only had paper thin chances to live on. our luck was bending and breaking. our hope was afraid.

Yet you saved me from myself, even when you were dying.
