First big summer storm
Clouds flowering, & sending
Out roots of white light

~~~
The hills glower, but
Lightning flashes show they
Actually smile wide
~~~

Fires which have hurt them
And displaced the animals
Put out in the rain

Knowing me, you know, you should know
I am bottled, my silence uncustomary to your ears
Past the nights when love soaked my voice
The sky's light-show is out tonight, lightning storm
Your pout, your snarling laugh, your light, your intellect
Thunder crashes me back to my loneliness
You are thunder that warns of rain coming
Water vital to a desert
Little did I know only I can bring the rain
That will cultivate and germinate my lands

the whole concept of storms used to scare me
the claps and strikes would cause me to not want to look outside because i was scared of the aftermath the storm caused

i'm not scared anymore—in the sense that now, you're the storm
you're the claps of thunder and the strikes of lightning and the pounding of rain drops that make me want to look outside to see all of the mist and the electricity dancing above us
you're the storm—you're the thunder with a laugh that echoes in my head all night
you're the rain that falls on top of my body when you need to catch your breath
you're the lightning that lights up the entire sky
hey hey hey it's been a while huh
re-cap on the past three years! sad, and now not so sad anymore
i wrote this for my lovely girlfriend a few days ago because she begged and begged for me to write her something, anything
but anyway! brb in another three years ♡

I was high up, flying.
So I took the lights
On the land as
                         Stars.

But I cannot make out
From where came the lightning?
The settling after a chaos of silence and noise.
There is nothing like the moment of transition,
From the flickering interior
Of the place I work –
Where reality itself
Seems as though it could be toggled
In a single motion,
Deactivated at the flip of a light-switch labeled:
‘Warning: don’t turn off!’ –
And out, unexpectedly,
Into the prehistoric empire
Of the thunderstorm,
Where despite the growing import
Of an industry of explanations,
The emperor still retains
His wild anthropic breath:
The air that sparks
These eerie, contra-zoom effects,
Whereby the colours of the world draw close,
But meaning sinks
To strange electric depths.
Written whilst working at Marks & Spencer in the U.K.
"I AM HERE! DON'T LEAVE!"
I shouted as I saw her fade away,
As her blinding light disappeared.
My roar was left hanging in the air
Among the emotions scattered around
Which is heard by the earth
but never by her.

"I AM ALONE. AND WILL ALWAYS BE."
I cried as I ran away from the dark clouds,
As I lit up a wish for someone to hold me
But that light disappeared in a second
For I'm afraid of the engulfing darkness
Afraid that no one's there for me,
That no one will call me.

Don't be afraid. Try to wait and look around, there is someone who will be there for you.

bring on the rumbles of thunder
rolling,
rolling,
from the outer space
towards,
towards,
the earth's tamed and untamed maze.

bring on the sharp lightning
striking ,
striking,
from the hands of the Supreme
towards,
towards,
the human's vision streams.

come, come,
heaven-made catastrophe,
bring it on,
bring it on.
for in the loud throbs of
your anger's noise
i calm and silence
my own inner chaos.

Your eyes are lightning in the dark cold nights, illuminating the sky with electricity and excitement
Too blinded by your power I cannot see the havoc wreaked on land I once considered my home
