I know that when I am older, I will no longer be able to throw the harsh truth of reality at ones such as my grandchildren.

Too them, I will live till I’m 105. Standing as the essence of immortality that they strive to experience. This of course is a lie. But, I can longer take it upon myself to destroy the dreams and quash the creativity of the young in a world of Grey.

Walk with me through this verdant street I am going to tell you a story about a strange place...

In this strange place, instead of colour splashing itself against any and every object there only seems to be shades of grey. And in this Grey world, each generation of children receives a red balloon. The red balloon constantly engages the youth with its seemingly magical properties of levitation. But this engagement can only last for so long. Eventually the floating ball of rosa can no longer captivate and mystify. At the crucial point of demystification, the children are deemed “ready” to face the world.

So the children do the only thing left to do to join the rest of society…they let go of that slight bit of that small, rose-colored rubber which, with the help of the wind and its abundant hydrogen molecules floats off to meet the sky.

I am proud to present to you, the saddest moment our society has to offer. The loss of the inner child to the vast machine of the demiurge.

****** of the greatest caliber carried out in the name of growing up and becoming part of "real" world.

But hey,
on the bright-side, the sky gets to play with a balloon

for a few minutes before it throws it back, without magic, without life, and without its marveling child.

So, I beseech you, the reader to forever hold onto that red balloon. Hold on till your knuckles turn white because it’s that tiny, 3 cent, red balloon is the most special item in this infectious process we call Human Society.

God is really so much more than we have ever imagined
yet it’s within His imagination we’ve all been fashioned.

As my mind begins to wonder,
I am compelled to wander;
Going ever further,
The distance ever farther.

sail over the horizons
let loose your entwined thinking
confined to walls

imagine
don't think too hard
for overthinking
can be treacherous
Everything has a beginning,
And that beginning always has an ending.
In the middle is the story,
And somewhere in that story is you.

You are lost from the moment you see the words.
How it amazes you,
And how it grasp you in.

For the moment you are lost,
You are in a different world,
A world that none are real,
Only you.

How wondrous it is to be somewhere else,
Somewhere you have never been before,
Somewhere you can never go to,
But here you are.

The thrills and suspense,
Compells you,
Not giving you up,
Not until you've had enough.

The time that passes by,
Seems shorter than a minute.
Taking deep breaths to remind you where you are,
Nothing feels real,
Nothing was real,
In that moment you know,
You are in another world.
A poem that expresses my feelings after reading a good book. Sometimes, depending on the book, you gain new perspectives; that's when you know you've read a good book.

Five million seconds ago in History,
was born a mind full of curiosity.

Carried around in the skull
of a boy mere fourteen,
with an absent self
glued to a skinny body.

He would ponder for hours,
about everything visible
through the sockets of his eyes.
Life, Death,
Mortals and their problems,
all alike.

The Universe for him was a grand magical experience,
with the existence of the magician its greatest trick.

His role in this play called ‘Life’,
he decided, was to uncover the truth
behind the curtain of illusions.
And mask the cracks
of this sculpture called Society
with his creative solutions.

As the years went by,
the boy would raise
castles out of thin air,
with tools made of
Fantasy and Imagination.

Little did he know that
the concrete of his structures
were diluted with innocent assumptions.

That is when Reality shot him,
with bullets made of Solitude.

“Wake up, you need to make money”, she said,
as she wreaked his empire floating on the river Naive.

She would adopt him as her own son.
And claim his ideal self, his new father.

Together,
they would cremate
his boyhood years
and carve him into
The Man He Always Wanted To Be.

Though I have fought my own many wars;
Lived through and settled so many scores;
Avoided those hooks, saw the bait coming;
Learned when to bite and when to keep going;
Still I'm delighted when tasting your dish -
The sweet observation of a much younger fish.
Imaginations it seems are oft better teachers;
Wars and their scores tend more to be preachers.
Appreciating the insight and creativity of those who, though they may seem younger and inexperienced, still delight my imagination and feed my poetic soul... Thank you all.

Imagine my pink tulips
blooming in the snow
perhaps,  this morning
                                 it was real
Put a *** of tulips in my backyard, which is full of snow, and took some pictures....
Why spend Valentine's Day
with bitterness? In your heart
there is a yearning. For love
grows deeper when suppressed. In your mind
being rational makes you sane
but afraid. For love
lingers if left unnoticed.
Spend today with laughter.
Spend today with glee.
Don't suppress that feeling.
Don't suppress that love.
Even if just for today,
give in. Fall completely.
Remind yourself. You are loved
even if just for today.
Happy Valentine's Day! ❤

I have sailed the seven seas
on a sturdy ship with sturdy sails
And  felt the ocean breeze
while guided by the whales.

I have fought a giant snake
A killer shark, a one eyed squid
and a monster from a lake
when I was just a little kid

By  my side was  my crew:
An otter, a dinosaur, a  fisher bear.
Sailing across the ocean blue
together  with  joy and care.

But at the end of the day
I would visit my last location
I would put my toys away.
harboring my imagination.
Imagination is probably a kids best "crewmate". I remember as a kid how many adventures I had just by sitting on a carpet or on a chair. Imagining how the carpet was a boat or the chair a spaceship.
