A wardrobe full of branded clothes,
Still mummy's gift on her birthday will always be the daughter's favourite dress.

Gift me a little of your time
for a meal under blue and green.
Gift me hours of your happiness
for a meal where flowers blossom.

Life is a present and as such
It can be given and taken,
Yet never owed.
Analogy of life and a present.

‪Despite the struggles, I smile.‬
I smile because I always care.
I care for I have a humbling heart.
This heart of mine always gives love.
It gives love to this world full of hate.
It's the only reason for me to do so —
A definite reason for me to smile.
If others cannot do this humbling act,
Then I must, for smiling is a gift of love.
It should be shown and be shared.

My poem shows no gender
no color of self.
Just words standing on their own merit.
Vibrating from pen to page,
page to eyes
eyes to readers heart.

My poem written with intent
will not tell where I lay my hat,
or financial status.

Vibrating from visions to mind,
mind to moment
moment to dream.

Its content of words
strung like pearls speak truth
and that is all that matters.

So read on and dance
or perhaps praise, or cry
in gallery of words
It is my gift to you.
Just playing with words that flow in sparks of thoughts.

They ask me why
I care so young
I shrug a lie
On silver tongue
Can’t waste my breath
On smaller trials
Can’t stop for death,
It makes me vile
If I can’t help you,
can’t make you see,
can’t give you hope,
what’s the point of me?
What am I here for?
Why let me be?
I’ve more to do here
Than hide or flee
There’s so much I’ve got
So much to give
If that’s all for naught,
why even live?
I’m here for a reason
So lend me an ear
It’s not just this season
It should be all year!
If I have two shirts,
why not pass one down?
If someone else hurts,
can’t I turn their frown?
Is this not my purpose?
Is this not my heart?
Go mend all those pieces;
don’t tear them apart.
If I’m here, I’m here for a reason. If I’m here and I’m happy and other people aren’t and that makes me sad, maybe that’s an indicator of what I’m here for. And if I’m here and I’m doing nothing, what’s the point of even existing?

The faces of God.

There's a feeling deep inside of me,
Something tells me I should be ashamed.
I can't shake what's gotten hold of me.
It's a thing that won't be tamed.

Oh, and I know, I know I know
Rationality has gone astray.
My greatest gift is that I love her,
Even though she's gone away.

Midnight is just another time that I consider
Just how blessed I truly am.
Not everybody gets to know
The love I feel for that gone ma'am.

Can you tell me of another love
Story quite as true and quite as blue?
I really don't think, don't think you can,
My man.
The woman I love has gone with you.

Well, you know I love that woman,
Even though, even though she ain't no good.
She's gonna put you through some rhythms.
Then, she's gonna but you through some blues.

I won't deny the pretty pain,
Because I'd take her back, I tell you true.
She's gonna put you through some rhythms.
Then, she's gonna put you through some blues.
Good ol southern rhythm and blues.
I jotted it in one sitting in about 15 minutes after a groovy ride home which closed out an amazing week-end that I don't think even a broken heart could shade.
