While you cover your profile pictures with transparent flags
ranting how terrorism should stop
retweeting and reposting those gory pictures of the victims
keeping up with the latest news
and trying to flow with the trend
like if this was the new ice bucket challenge
but with blood water.

In all honesty,
Do you really pity the victims?
Do you really feel the sorrow?
Were your families even part?
Were your friends even part?
Were you a part?

Or are you doing it for the sake of Likes?

Only truly
if you hate terrorism,
act like as you really do
because you look stupid,
hating what social media tells you to hate.

And only truly
if you hate terrorism,
You would do something more than a click from social media.

If terrorists terrorize to change the world into their own,
what are we doing to change ours?
once again slaves of social media who call themselves "supporting"
We can end this terror threat together
First, you got to open the hatch.

As the rain dropped tonight I couldn’t tell if it was the weather or you just saying your last goodbye to the earth

It pummeled against the sands that held your body, like you wanted to give it one last tap to see if you could wake yourself up from this dream

But I can tell its unresponsiveness was the last reply you wanted

……. On the floor your phone is ringing, no one has heard from you for a while

……..I could hear you wishing ‘‘for a while’‘ won’t turn out to be ‘’for life’‘

So you go again, one more tap. This time you came with thunders

Lightnings to lighten the grip of the bullet on your will. Yeah I can tell you want it back… through burrows and cracks fighting back for life as it rained more….

Finally!!! There’s a silence

One of you had been victorious in the end

……. as the rain drops begin to lose it innocence mixing up with gore ……

I saw you look up to God as you both shed one last tear together

Everything goes dark__  (as your eyes dim cold)

You had plans for that day, you were close to going home. You told them you would be back for it. Your graduation was the next day, you just got engaged.. you just__ everything goes blank

So I light these candle lights for you, in these dark pages left in our hearts as we pummel the earth with rain from our eyes and our hearts with questions

Let them light your blank pages and heaven fill it with answers as your name is engraved in the sands of time.

As the rain dropped tonight I couldn’t tell if it was the weather or you just saying your last goodbye to the earth

We love you
This poem is dedicated to all the people that lost their lives in the tragic incidence in France, Beirut and other places in the world where so much insanity of wasting human lives was shown for no reason.

I’m French. And since yesterday, I guess it’s enough to understand how I feel.

I learned about the attacks on Paris as soon as it happened. And I can’t get them out of my head since.

It’s not just a fact, it’s an emotion. A feeling. That everything you ever fought for mean nothing. That peace is just a concept, and will never be reality.

I know, that horrible things happen every day, every moment, everywhere. But I never had to face it, ever. I’m a young adult, and I never felt insecure in my country. I never saw war. And I always thought that I never will.

But is it real? Is it possible, is it really happening right now?

I’m afraid.

And I will never give up.

Just give me a little time to only think about my country, my freedom. Give me a little time to cry, and think.
I will never forget... 13/11/2015

Rise to heaven,
It's your home.

Leave us on this earth
It's a cowards home

The guns won.
Humanity lost.

The love we thought we all shared,
Shattered and the shards pierced our eyes.
The dead wanted to stay dead,
But those who are slaughtered from the soul
Want all of us to be that way too.

Hollow
Dry
Hungry
Loveless.

On this day, I don't even want to pray.
I have seen what religion does to people.

It's not a War that's brewing,
It's a force field:
One that hides us from each other,
One that forbids communication.

We are a confused people.
Painting our false faces won't help.
And now,
I don't know what will.
Our humanity was stretched thin, but now it is torn like a lion ripped it apart with it's gnashing teeth.
All good people agree,
And all good people say,
All nice people, like Us, are We
And every one else is They:
But if you cross over the sea,
Instead of over the way,
You may end by (think of it!) looking on We
As only a sort of They !

Given the recent tragic events, the purpose of this post is to honor the victims of the horrific terrorist attacks in both France and Lebanon. My deepest condolences go to the families of said victims, may they rest in peace.

I'm sorry this world became so unsafe,
that you are now in an indefinite sleep,
that by evil you were strafed,
that your family and friends will weep and weep.

You always put a smile on your family's face,
no matter how sad each one of them was,
You are someone they can never replace,
the laughter lines on their faces? You were the cause.

The day that you were shot and slipped away,
Your mum broke down completely and was in absolute shock.
Your parents wept and thought of you every minute of the day,
you didn't deserve this end - they wish they could turn back the clock.

You should have been getting married,
but now you are in Heaven above.
Now in a casket you shall be carried
and they will cry for you again and release a dove.

I promise now your spirit is free,
and I promise that you won't really be gone
as you will live on inside of your family,
and for your justice they will keep fighting on.

How could you do it?
How could you
bathe in the red of others
watch their selfness drain from them
and say
that it is all in the name of religion?

You disgust me
that you could display such hate
and say it is all for love
and you do the word a gross disservice.

I hope you are safe in the knowledge
that this cruel deity who revels in lack of breath
has provided a future for you;
there is no place for you here.
R.I.P. to all of those who lost their lives in France tonight. There are not enough words to do their memory justice.

oh father how your face has grown old with defeat
oh sister your arms have become so gaunt

the men march below my window
a beam of light crosses my tattered dress
how can there be beauty at a time like this?

the store fronts are empty
just the soldiers in their black uniforms
feasting on all of the wine and banquettes
we aren't allowed to buy with our ration cards

the children walk with their faces towards the sidewalk
the babies never cry anymore
they've lost the energy for all of that

but the birds they still sing
that sad and lonesome song
"I would like to leave it all if I only could"
and we said quietly to one another
"C'est la fin"
