Adrift asleep,
Among the stars,
Existence arrives,
As it discards,
Flickers of light,
Rush right past,
The cosmic giant,
Slumbers so fast.
Time is relative even for the stars

Am I nothing more than a feature

Crying out for help

Risking the intangible

Justifying the undeniable

Facts are imagined and created simultaneously

Stretched into new parts

This is the journey.
MisfitOfSociety Dec 2020
When I die, do I wake up? Or do I remain asleep?

God is dead, and my world is so much bigger.
God is dead, and my life is so much smaller.
God is dead, and I am alone for ever.
Traveler Dec 2020
Is the spirit
A part of conscientiousness
or is conscientiousness
A part of the spirit?
Is will deceived
Or do we steer it?

Death can hardly
Be part of life
How can a part
Of life be dead?
If eternity continues
At our last breath
How can I
When nothing’s left?

I’m sure you know
Your words are many
Dissecting the dictionary
From end to beginning
But...
Mom let you know the anger of dad
Stay out of his way and never be bad
Questions are futile
Eat your greens
The answer is simply life is a dream.
There’s no explanation
Only description.

Make no mistake we are self deceived

Traveler Tim

Perhaps we signed into some type of contract and we’re here to help this world evolve
And you can’t die until you do your part

If my last existence was a micro
Perhaps my next existence will be a solar system
Perhaps in some future point I will be the all
Perhaps

I heard it early on,
Shortly after birth...

That time when I was thrown
Into this place upon the earth

The constant, constant ticking,
The ticking of a clock

The day’s and hours clicking;
Tomorrow’s mental block

---

Sein-zum-Tode, I know her –
Pulling me ever closer

And pushing me ever further
From yesterday, once-over

Today, I hear it loudly;
Sometimes I hear it not

And thinking things profoundly:
This ticking has to stop

.
you are a flower
so tender and dear
as i clutch you next to my still, beating heart

you are a flower
so tender and dear
even as your petals fall apart

you are a flower
so tender and dear
dripping honey into my sincere soul

you are a flower
so tender and dear
and your beauty is vibrant, as your life fades

you are a flower
so tender and dear
beloved by many, and feared by some,

you are a flower
so tender and dear
and, your beauty eternal, as it is ephemeral,

you are a flower
so tender and dear
as my last wish is to be enveloped in your finite love

as you lay, your words i cherished are etched in stone,
you were a flower
so tender and dear

musing about
the beauty & finiteness
of flowers & life

( & a rough practice of
repetition & imagery ! )

there are those who live to see
and those who live to be seen

myself, i'd like to know
so I can placate my perils
of indirection and indignation.
to douse the flame of uncertainty
and quench this abysmal curiosity.

when the day ends,
I don't know
whether I see or am seen

my faith will falter
my ache won't alter
the afflicted anger
Still hoping it will waver.
