Sunrise quiet
hiking through
the dropping blush of autumn

the morning after election day

inside the trails of forested
trees that were not allowed
a vote

coming upon a canyon
splitting
the un-United States
down the spine

pondering the illusion
of human separation

We reach down and *****
a bridge
sweeping
over the chasm

Next,
we tie a rope swing
to the oak branches above

and unmoor the canoes
from the cedar docks below

Americans stand on
each side,
holding up
similar signs
clear in
truth and oneness

our shared desires
and basic needs

The signs
reading;

Freedom
Safety
Health
Respect
Home
Work
Joy
&
repeating grandly,
over
and over;
**
Love.

Slowly,
as the drops
of dew transform
to puddles

and the sun
lifts to crown
us all in lemon light

we raise up
our shovels
and begin
the work of
filling in the
imaginary
canyon

That once
suffered
divide.
A poem written
on an edgy morning after the 2020 presidential elections.

Walking in the woods,
while trying to make sense of
the times we find ourselves in.

Aware of the many glowing
window lights & street lamps
shining through the darkness.

Soil, Soil, Soil
Its aroma is so captivating
It enhances the earth
And makes ones heart be filled with joy!

Every journey begins with soil
Ends with soil
Soil is the mother of man and flower
Their start and end are both the same.

The flowers share their merry tales
And express gratitude for the space
All the living beings rejoice at once
And thank the soil for holding them as one!

It is the ultimate gamechanger
It is inevitable and unstoppable
“For it will without fail come true, it will not be late!”
It is something the world has never witnessed
“The will be great tribulation such as the world has never seen before”
It is the mother of all governments
“And this kingdom will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it alone will stand forever”
But it is not right or left wing
It is not Capitalist or Socialist
Does not rely on votes
It is not human
“My Kingdom is no part of this world”
Yet it will solve all human problems
“The meek will possess the earth, and they will find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace”
Not one shot will be fired
Nor one missile be aimed
No bomb will explode
“They shall learn war no more”
It will remove the selfish and the cruel
“For evil men will be done away with, But those hoping in God will possess the earth. Just a little while longer, and the wicked will be no more”
And protect the innocent and the poor
“For he will deliver the poor one crying for help, also the afflicted one and whoever has no helper”
It will cleanse and restore the earth
“He will bring to ruin those ruining the earth”
Will eliminate all illnesses and disabilities
“No resident will say “ I am sick””
Will restore youth to the old
“His flesh shall become fresher than a child's, he shall return to the days of his youth”
And restore life to the dead
“Your brother will rise, your dead will live”
We will not know fear anymore
“They will do no harm nor cause any ruin in all my holy mountain”
We will not weep anymore
“God will wipe out every tear from their eyes”
Will not fight anymore
“Whoever takes up the sword shall perish by the sword”
All bad memories and traumas will be gone forever
“The former things will not be called to mind, nor will they come up into the heart”
We can start again, in perfection
“Look, I making all things new.”
But what on earth is it?
And how on earth will it happen?
When on earth will it come?

“Thy kingdom come, thy will be done
On EARTH, as it is in Heaven” -  Matthew 6.9

“Your deliverance is near”  -  Luke 21.28

Ice melts,
Hurricanes rage,
Permafrost thaws,
Methane burps,
Temperature shoots,
Sea level rises,
Agriculture fails,
Drinking water shortages,
Tsunamis show their might,
Landslide kills,
Pandemic thrives,
Fishes stop breeding,
Insects go out of sight,
and, human beings exit, stage left!

searching for a door
to the forest
i can’t seem to find the way
the crickets echoing cry
can be heard in the halls of this sprawl
what will become of me?
is the envisioning of the murky waters
behind the woods going to give way or
will we ever overcome the weight of the greed around us?
will the pits filled with cellophane and bisphenol break hold of gravity
can the earth fall to the bottom of the universe?
will we feel the blow of the astronomical damage that we have done?
can the money you paid to wipe away your sins truly be forgotten of?
when the world begets its metamorphosis
to the hell it’s always meant to become
you won’t see me
your money will be gone
i’ve always been meant to see the inferno
but this is your doing not mine
