I love you so madly.
Your quirks and grins,
the many colors of your skins.
Harmonic melodies where progress begins.

I miss you so sadly.
Your peace and understanding,
the pinnacle of Humanity.
We've lost our tune, turning a minor chord on one another.

You disgust me, certainly.
Your shouting and screeming.
Like animals we fight, seething.
An unorganized orchestra of adult children.

I loathe you completely.
Your beatings and killings.
The streets run red from a rainbow of dead.
We've laid down our instruments and taken up swords.

Beautiful lives destroyed.
They hang like ornaments in the trees.
Beautiful lives taken.
You rip them from cars and leave them in the streets.
Beautiful lives forgotten.
As soon as we revisit our screens.

I want to love you, preserve you.
I feel I must destroy you from those who would pervert you.

I geuss I am you.

Happiness can be found
in the most unusual of places
the kind which is short-lived
but giving a kick like wasabi no less

that millisecond in the air
while doing the cannonball
splashing the water all around
to walking in the park and having
that stroke of wind caress the hair

to having a smell draw you to the patisserie
and every spoonful is like heaven

This kind disappears as soon as it arrives
like the fizz in your cherry cola
finding it again can be easy
did you check your pockets?

nothing's worth taking your
own life for
you're not worthless
not a penny,
you're worth a million

because the track was blocked
the train didn't stop
it changed the tracks

find your calling
get on the saddle
and look on down the vultures
who tried to pick you apart,
and soar
Shounak Jun 2020
Sit with them, laugh with them
enjoy with them, smile with them
you don't know what their mind's racing on
looking so calm
yet fighting a thousand battles within
the last person you expect
to disappear,
might lose the battle and even the war
for you might be the first one to
wake up tomorrow
and long to see them
just once, just once.

imagine if we didn't have eyes
imagine if no one could see
racism isn't inherited
it wouldn't be seen and picked up
i wouldn't see the color
break a white egg or brown
the yolk is the same

Your living was a gift.
Your life taken shows us
All how we're not being.
Taking our own lives,
In effect, by not doing
All we can.
You may be dead, yet,
Still, you give us insight,
That we're not fully alive.
May your memory be
A constant reminder of
What we lose when
We fail to be,
That being everything.

Cops asked an African man,
In N.Y.C., "show us I.D."?
He reaches for his wallet,
Before he can even pull it out
His body's riddled with 20 bullets,
The cops reload, shoot him with 20 more,
Making sure he couldn't live to tell.

You need a soul to blame,
To put on your causes of adversity.
So let me offer you mine;
I might drown
Under the tedious current
But at least,
You will float.

People cautiously walking the sidewalks
Masks of all sorts over their faces
Cover the mouth, cover the nose
Keep away, far away
Heed the warnings, as they say;

Stay 6 feet away,
Cover your mouth,
Cover your face
This is no way to live
But to survive
Or before you know it
You're already dead...

People shuffling past
Lift up their head
Groan as they stand in last
Hoping not to rot in their place

Once inside, they took what they could
Doesn't mean that they should
Only to leave others with scraps
Like kids playing with bottle caps

Finally, signs saying to take less
Ease a bit of that good ol' stress
Save it for the lines of insanity
And all that is left of humanity

Walk the streets, get outside
For the time you can, no longer hide
Return soon to thy shelters
Keep busy, maybe become painters

Walk along the ocean shore
Then return home, what a bore
Paint the barren sands,
Once with so many people, holding hands
Now with little to none
Go home and be done

Scarcely utter a word
To those on the street
But over the phone, loud as a bird
In conversation, the shuffling of feet

Open slow, the lesser things
Whilst still some folks are getting wings
Soon enough, renew the world
Let it all come unfurled
Only to consume us all once more
Just like before.

The purpose of this poem is to display the current state of the world, and leaders attempt to slowly bring things back to some semblance of normalcy.

Dial dial lost in time
Call up all the lost sailors
On their sunken ship
Give Earhart a call
Way out past the atoll
Contact the ghosts
From all the wars
Contact all the evil dictators
And ask them this:
Were all their ****** wars worth it?
The financial cost, the blood and destruction
But we cannot call them
For the dead remain dead
And new wars erupt
By generals and leaders
Who want their golden glory
Five minutes of fame
And a new war
And a new battle
And a thousand new deaths
Call them and ask them:
Why?

Dictating the Winter of our extermination to come, has surpassed their
class war's liquidation of ases and assets of the masses en masse's
increased rate of blitzkreiging Gaia's children to their extinction.

Now that the middle-class to rich are facing the extermination rate that
the lower-middle-class to poor have always faced, they're making haste to
align with not-sees, totalitarians in control, few celebrity supremacists

Mimic repub's and **** admin's opening the country now criminal insanity,
For they don't give a hoot that it will dictate at least 100,000 extra
murdered, they want their $ now.  And corona concentration camps are

Dictated to be by repub's, ****'s executive ordering meat and poultry
packing plants to stay open, regardless of them being extreme incubators
of virus, lacking: enough ppes, following CDC safe distance, etc., rules.

Also, in nursing homes where 30 % of covid fatalities have occurred, due
to similar failings, and prisons, where testing is done least, tragically.
Those workers are threatened with layoffs, arrests if they don't show up.

They're forced to work and aren't properly protected from the virus, they
may not get it in the next 5 minutes, but might, might next day, next
week, month, will get it most certainly if nothing changes and 5 % will

be murdered by it, dictated by the gov't and it's criminally insane rules
to make believe reality and truth aren't, to "help **** get re-elected".
All, going along instead of impeaching, removing **** now to save lives.
Might might make right, but, it always makes wrong.  CDC's 64 page guidelines for re-opening areas turned into 17 pages, then less and isn't "going to see the light of day", ****; almost irrelevant because ****'s reiterated that "no one has to follow his admin's own guidelines".  'Going along to get along' is death now.  Thanx for all you All do; have a good day    :)   reality
