I am my mother’s son,
Born of her blood, her breath, her fight,
A cord cut but never severed,
Who dares strike the root of me?
I’d burn the hand that bruises her,
Yet cowards in red caps cheer the blow.
Grinning, hollow men led by a swine.

I am my sister’s brother,
Shield to her storm, her echo, her kin,
Her voice a storm they fear to hear,
What man stands proud to choke her out?
Not one with a spine, not one I’d name,
They root and crawl, their bellies in mud
Marching blind, in red and orange shame.

I am my wife’s husband,
Vowed to her soul, her strength, her choice,
A bond they’d cage in rusted law.
Who spits on love and calls it right?
I’d shred their banners, topple their lies,
But they strut, grinning, pigs in ties.
Let their orange master squeal as it dies.

I am my daughter’s father,
Guardian of her dreams, her dawn, her infinite skies,
A world they would shrink to fit their palm.
What beast would claw his own child’s wings?
None but the vermin parading as men,
None worthy of the air she breathes,
Yet here they squeal, orange and obscene.

I am a man, not a blade to wield,
Not a fist to raise against my own,
My mother, sister, wife, daughter,
All women, all roots, all mirrors of me.
To wound them is to bleed myself,
So why do these men not cringe to see?
They march with pride toward their own ruin.

Shame should choke them, silence their roar,
Every man’s a mother’s son,
And no man’s soul survives the sin
Of striking hands that shaped his core.
MAGA swine can squeal and preen,
They’ll reap the rot they’ve sown in green.
Their ruin the debt to the women they’ve torn.

When God came into my life,
I was young,
Younger than I am currently,
Starting to pick up on all of the strife,
And though it stung,
I was still very naive.
Things stopped making sense,
And I felt a voice inside of me,
Telling me to confess,
And learn a new life to lead.

Everything changed,
And I opened my eyes,
I saw the world in a new light.
I felt an urge to care,
Where before I wouldn’t dare,
For better or worse,
Free from my former curse.

When God came into my life,
He showed me the light,
At the time,
When I needed it most,
To prepare for the upcoming fight.
If He hadn’t,
I can’t guarantee I’d survive.
There’s light at the end of the tunnel.
Don’t make decisions that get you into trouble.
It’s okay to cry,
To let your emotions fly,
No need to constantly hide,
Behind the layers of your mind.
There’s people who want to see you,
They’re waiting just outside,
You just have to be willing,
To search and to find.
“Knock and the door will be opened.”
If I ask.
I hope I stay on the path,
And are committed to the task.
Don’t want to go astray,
Or break away.

When God held my hand,
As I listened,
To my friend’s discontentment and resentment,
I kept my head held high.
If He wasn’t there,
I can’t say for certain I’d still be around.
When my friend attempted,
To throw away her life,
And she did what she did,
Perhaps I’d be by her side.

When God pulled me up,
From the hole I dug,
Because I believed,
That listening was enough,
To change her,
Yet, I found myself stranded in muck.
He’s kept my head on my shoulders,
When I look down,
He tilts my chin toward the sky.
He doesn’t judge me for my failures,
I wish I could see myself,
Through His eyes.

I don’t ever thank him,
For all He’s done for me,
But when my life seems to unravel at the seams,
I believe.
That tomorrow, He’ll be with me like he was today,
He’ll hold my hand to keep me from going astray,
As long as I keep on keeping on,
Along the way.
He will show me brighter days!

When God came into my life,
He showed that the world was more than pain and strife,
And as long as I’m alive,
I hope I never leave his side…
Today I feel very thankful, thus, this poem.
(Verse 1)
In life's deep waters, day by day,
When storms arise and clouds turn gray,
I find my strength in Your embrace,
Anchored forever in Your grace.
Your mighty hand holds sure and strong,
Through every trial, through every song,
My faith is secured in who You are,
My anchor point, my guiding star.

(Pre-Chorus)
And when the waves come crashing in,
Your perfect peace speaks from within,
No force on earth can shake my stand,
While I'm held in Your mighty hand.

(Chorus)
You are my anchor, strong and true,
In all I do, I trust in You.
My solid ground, my steady guide,
Forever by Your side.
You are my anchor, holding fast,
Through raging storms that cannot last.
My hope, my peace, my endless song,
In You I'm safe, in You I'm strong.

(Verse 2)
The world may shift, the mountains fall,
And earthly treasures lose their call,
But Your devotion stands the test,
A timeless love, forever blessed.
You lift me up on eagles' wings,
Above the noise the chaos brings,
To find in You a quiet space,
A sanctuary of love and grace.

(Pre-Chorus)
When darkness tries to steal my hope,
And weary steps struggle to cope,
I lift my eyes, and see Your light,
Breaking through the darkest night.
Your promise shines, a guiding ray,
Leading me to a brighter day,
And I remember, come what may,
Your love will never fade away.

(Chorus)
You are my anchor, strong and true,
In all I do, I trust in You.
My solid ground, my steady guide,
Forever by Your side.
You are my anchor, holding fast,
Through raging storms that cannot last.
My hope, my peace, my endless song,
In You I'm safe, in You I'm strong.
You are my anchor, You won't let go,
Even when the wild winds blow,
In You, I find my strength and stay,
My rock, my refuge, come what may.

(Bridge)
When trials come, and doubts arise,
I look to You with trusting eyes.
Your love surrounds me, calms my fears, And wipes away my falling tears.
You are the calm within the storm, Protecting me from every harm.
So I will rest within Your care,
Knowing Your presence is always there.

(Chorus)
You are my anchor, firm and deep,
A promise You will always keep.
My sure foundation, come what may,
You guide my steps along the way.
You are my anchor, holding tight,
A beacon burning ever bright.
My constant hope, my endless plea,
To stay forever close to Thee.
You are my anchor, strong and bold,
A love that never can grow old.
My everything, my all in all,
I hear Your voice, I heed Your call.

(Outro)
You are my anchor, evermore,
My guiding star, my open door.
In You I live, in You I breathe,
My heart and soul to You I give.
You are my anchor, now and then,
My faithful God, until the end.
Forever anchored in Your love,
Safe in Your arms, like a gentle dove.
"You Are My Anchor" speaks to the unwavering faith and security found in God's love. The anchor symbolizes stability, hope, and a steadfast presence during life's inevitable storms. Just as an anchor keeps a ship secure, God's love provides a firm foundation, preventing us from being tossed about by doubt, fear, or adversity. The song declares trust and reliance on God as the ultimate source of strength and guidance.

The poor have the good news proclaimed for them. We rejoice for the good news is upon us. The word of God is with us and in us and among us. God, help us recognize your presence, to slow down and stop being BUSY (Buried Under Satan's Yoke). Hurry is incompatible with love, and it is the great enemy of the spiritual life. Too busy to do the right thing and too busy to do what we need and ought to do. Love is time consuming!

Jesus is about slow and taking time. Why else would he offer us ETERNITY?

As we enter and branch off
In & as each different stream of water,
Let us share flow equitably as pressure,
May no loose colmation of ignorance
Seperate us. To the maturity of our emotions
And to the equality of our intellect;
May we wash away
All the built up silt and dead rot,
Which if without purpose
Only exists as an obstacle
Toward greater understanding.
May we wind & wade not
Where we face arrest by impasses
But are found by oceans.
May we be worthy,
That we walk away
More than we entered.

We have been given the greatest mission
In the greatest love story ever written
It's a call to love; it's a call to action
It's the spark that starts a chain reaction
It's a call to faith; it's a call to holiness
It's a call to arms and it's nothing less
It's a mission not hard to understand
And it boils down to one command:
Love each other sister and brother
Be the light of the world, the salt of the earth
You're special, you matter, right from birth

Everyone wants to be loved and to feel loved
Everyone needs someone to be there
To have someone who truly cares
Go into the world and live it out
People you meet will have no doubt
Of whom you are or what you believe
You have become what you received:
You have become the body of Christ!

His hands healing the sick, feeding the poor
His merciful heart that loves and adores
His feet that walked countless miles
His kindly face and his gentle smiles
His palms up, his arms outstretched
Embracing the world from east to west

Reflect on these
And hold them in your heart
Then, bless God and thank Him
When you start
Becoming the very Body of Christ

Glory to God in the Highest
Glory to Him the Angels sing
Glory to God in the Highest
Glory to the newborn King

Let Heaven and Earth adore
Let every tongue confess
The moment you've waited for:
The Prince of Peace at rest

Open your home, open your heart
Come find Him where He lay
In the place where it all starts
Rejoice! Salvation has come today

The day of the Lord is upon us
The moment has drawn nigh
See how much He loves on us
Sing Glory to our God most high

Glory to God in the Highest
Glory to Him the Angels sing
Glory to God in the Highest
Glory to the newborn King

Lord, so often I'm looking for the next thing
Believing that, happiness, it will bring
Then I find, to my dismay, it's not true at all
And, once again, my dreams and hopes fall
I'm looking for something to call my own
I'm longing for the feeling that I'm finally home
A place where I'm truly loved and fully known
A place where I never again have to feel alone
You say you have a plan for me: I believe it is true
You tell me that you love me: I believe that you do
You say you'll be always with me: I believe this too
You ask me just to trust, and I still hold back from you
The things of this world are fast and fleeting
But you love and word are forever keeping
When the affections of earth are cruel and cold
Help me recall love's anchor to which I must hold

Lord, teach me how to be wholly satisfied
Break these bonds of selfishness and pride
You are my shepherd, there is nothing that I lack
As I cast my eyes ahead, help me not look back
My eyes are ever wand'ring
And my heart, ever restless
But as I come into your presence
I am speechless, I am breathless
I stand amazed in wonder and in awe
As I see before me the very throne of God
The angels sing and anthems ring
Shouts of praise: Hosanna to our King
Holy, Holy, Holy saturates the air
Tears fill my eyes, and I don't even care
And now, like the morning sun, it dawns:
That this is where my heart belongs
The feeling fades and yet it lingers still
By your goodness and grace, it always will
